Great property in a wonderful location

Great property in a wonderful location. Food was excellent, accomodation well designed, clean and comfortable and all staff were friendly and helpful. Good base for exploring the Royal Natal Park but don’t miss the walks on the property.

Marvellous Montusi

Montusi Mountain Lodge is in a beautiful area of the Drakensburg with a wonderful view of the amphitheatre. The individual cottages are a very good size and are very clean. The food is excellent and the service friendly and charming. It was our second visit and we are planning a third. It is tranquil and a great area for hiking.

An excellent base for exploring the Drakensburg and even if you don’t want to go too far the guided local walks each morning are very enjoyable. The whole environment is very relaxing and the views from the Lodge are magnificent.

Gutes Eigentümer geführtes Hotel

In dieser Gegend ist ein guter Blick auf die Drakensberge sehr gewünscht. Garden View Suites entpuppen sich als sehr schöne geräumige Häuser mit Wohn- und Schlafzimmer/Bad und Bergblick. Mountain View Houses sind größer, viel teurer und haben keinen Super- Blick. Gute Küche, teilweise sehr geschultes und aufmerksames Personal. Sehr gepflegt.

Great spot!!

Montusi Mountain Lodge Lovely stay at this family-run resort. Great welcome and help with exploring the area. We understand why some guests return regularly. Extremely happy with the cottages, lodge, dining and sitting areas, and swimming pool; all are airy and attractive with terrific views. Great food. A highlight was the opportunity to tour the nearby village, including the primary school, with one of the Montusi staff. Rain kept us from ambitious hiking, but the opportunities are there. Highly recommended.

A wonderful lodge with Stunning scenery

We loved our stay at montusi lodge. If you want to explore the heritage park and the beautiful drakensberg mountains , its perfect. We had a spacious thatched cottage with a kitchen and sitting area. Lovely big bedroom and bathroom. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and evening dinner. With fantastic views. The pool area brilliant & horse riding on site. The Drakensberg mountains are stunningly beautiful , with the Montusi lodge sitting close to motusi peak which we climbed. We felt safe and very much in awe of the surroundings. Would highly recommend.

Most beautiful location in the Drakensberge area!

Beautiful location, the suites are first class with private decks overlooking the mountains. Great hospitality and wonderful breakfast and dinner (included in the price). Thank you Montusi staff, we will be back soon!

Beautiful setting and cozy cottage

This is a very beautiful area of South Africa. We were amazed at the beauty surrounding the lodge. Breakfast and dinner are included in the cost of the lodging. Can't say enough about the delicious dinners and the beautiful presentation of the meals. The host are very friendly and we thourghly enjoyed our two night stay at Montusi.
