Loved meeting the Tamil locals working at Fox Jaffna especially those from my home town of Alaveddy. The Appam station for breakfast on the last day and the Odiyal Kool were definitely highlights.

My stay at Fox Jaffna was excellent. The staff were excellent and extremely accomodating. The highlight for me was the incredible food from the restaurant. This is the only place worth staying at in Jaffna if you would like a real local relaxing experience. Thank you to all the team at Jaffna and hope to see you all again in the future.

Friendly and supportive staff

Booking was easier and Laksika from front desk was very welcoming and supportive. Stayed in two different type rooms, one in villa and other in main building. Supplies , cleanliness and service was great. Restaurant was more welcoming and and warm. Food choices were not extensive but adequate to the size of resort. Scotty, Diroian, Amithap were very friendly and quick to be in service, cheers to them.

The property is very nicely maintained. Pool is small but clean. I stayed at the Classic room which was in the original house. Room was big but unfortunately very dark. Windows don't open. Otherwise, the room has everything. Good tea bags. The food at the hotel was good but they charge a lot of money for tax and service fee. That could be avoided. Food was tasty. Breakfast was simple but same thing every day. I recommend a variety and more Sri Lankan choices since this is a heritage hotel. The hotel is a little too pricey for Jaffna standards since it is of 3 star quality. It is also a little too far from town and train station. Otherwise, it is very comfortable and safe for ladies traveling alone.

It was an amazing experience, staff was polite, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and a good variety available each day. Dirojan - one of the waiters was very good and full of knowledge of the cuisine available. The rooms were clean and spacious in the main house where we stayed. It felt like we were staying at a friends house.
