The property itself is on a large hillside away from the main Jaco commercial areas. The main office is at ground level, but the bungalows are up a very steep climb. There is a one-lane driveway going up/down to the bungalows. We were wondering what happens when two cars meet and one needs to back up/down the steep and windy driveway, but luckily that never happened to us.
The room itself is actually half of the bungalow. Very spacious and clean, and there are amenities like full-sized bottles of Raw Botanicals shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. There is also a fire pit with fire wood at each bungalow if you want to do a camp fire after dark. We thought about it but then didn't because we stayed there during dry season when the grass was super crispy. There was no obvious water hose or other way to stop a fire on the lawn if a spark escaped the fire pit.
What sells it is the view. You get an incredible view of the surrounding landscape. It's technically ocean view, but is not close enough to the ocean to get a good scenic view. You can see water on the horizon and you can see the back of the large and tall hotel that now blocks part of the ocean view.
Overall, it was a lovely one-night stay. We would stay here again if we ever return to this area of Costa Rica.
