Great staff and communication. Our washer broke and they attempted to fix it immediately but it needed to be removed. They had our clothes washed by the time got back to the condo which was so appreciated given our luggage was lost by Frontier Airlines.

Very nice and well maintained apartment with great location to down town Jaco. My family enjoyed spacious apartment and the pool. The only fault we could find was the crockery and cutlery needs upgrading. We would stay here again.

Everything was perfect from check in until check out. Arrived at the guard gate and Nelson was very professional in checking my credentials in order to get into the property. Christian in the front office was also very professional in checking our passports and reservation confirmation. The grounds were immaculate with lots of foliage to and from the condo. Our condo 19 was spotless and had everything you needed for a week stay...even had a couple of waters in the fridge for us upon arrival...big plus! Beds were comfortable and AC worked great..we cooked the fish we caught and there were plenty of pans and pots to do so. The pool area was nice with plenty of lounge chairs and tables to go around. They also had grills and a wash station for cleaning fish. My son and I are already planning our next trip back. Thank you for making our Christmas trip enjoyable! Till next time.

The staff (security) is very friendly and attentive. The pool is nice and big. The condition on the pool chairs was less than desirable. Inside the condo the furniture was nice, but the bed lines were poor quality and the shower was dated.

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PROPERTY! This was a beautiful, well kept condominium with security at the gate to welcome you in. Nelson the security at the gate was very helpful with luggage and giving great recommendations for first timers in Costa Rica! He showed us around and helped with questions about the property. The pool and common areas are clean, well kept and regularly maintained. The rooms inside were spacious, clean, and had chairs inside if going to the beach!

Overall, this is a very good property to stay at while in Jaco. It's less than a block away from Jaco's main road, and it's in a safe and secure location with 24/7 security (with very friendly front gate guards). Check-in at the property was easy, and the front office staff was friendly and helpful. The condo we stayed in was very nice with decent furnishings and was very clean and comfortable. The pool area was fantastic and one of the best features of the property along with the beautiful landscaping. The only reason I gave this property a good rating instead of excellent was because there was a minor leak in one of the two sinks in one of the bathrooms and also the phone in the condo wasn't working. The staff did try to fix the sink but was unsuccessful. In the scheme of things, those two issues were very minor. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property as a decent place to stay when in Jaco.

Everything was super nice. Best housekeeping we've had maybe ever. Felt very safe. Pool was sparkling and well maintained. All employees were friendly. Even had our dishwasher go out and they replaced it within a day!! Would definitely go back.

Outstanding hidden gem!

I had a great stay at this facility; I was very impressed with the Monte Carlo and would highly recommend it. It is a beautiful location and convienant to a lot of things to do. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Everything was in top working order and the staff was extremely helpful. The 24 hour secured access in and out was very much appreciated and the security staff was great. Room 19 is a very good location with a balcony overlooking the pool. I was extremely satisfied with my entire stay and will be staying here again. Great job Monte Carlo Team!

The best part about my stay at these condominium was the security guard Nelson, he was always pleasant, a smile on his face and a good attitude. The outside it's also very beautiful well maintained however for apartment 1, the master bathroom the water was always cold as informed to me by my travel companions, the other bathroom with the tub was hot and cold, it would get extremely hot then cold, there was a travel size shampoo on the bathroom with the tub but that's about it. The pool looked beautiful but the jacuzzi is not heated. And as for cleanliness i don't think it's throughly cleaned, there was crumb like stuff on the bed frames, decided not to look too much into it fearing the worse

I've been here many times. It's great, although you can begin to notice the need for maintenance. The air conditioner are begging to "make" loud noises, there are fungus on the wall, dishes are old.... Etc. I had a great time, and the security officer was super nice, but it's definitely seen better days

Quiet and comfortable retreat

Monte Carlo is a perfect retreat located right off the downtown area just walking distance from the beach and all the shopping and dining. It is a quiet family friendly place with only 14 units, and the 24 hour attendants provide the top service and security you could ask for!

There is so much to say about this property, Costa Rica in general, the people, the culture and the experience of visiting the country if you have never been there. This property is very nice and is definitely “luxury”, at least compared to what is around it. It would not be considered “luxury” if you are expecting something you would find in a luxury resort in the US or Europe but for Jaco Beach this is really nice. The town of Jaco Beach is a beach town that has a number of surfer/beach restaurants, bars, and little shops that are within walking distance but be very careful when walking because the sidewalks are in poor condition and its easy to trip on a broken or uneven surface. The people are wonderful, helpful and kind, not only in the condo office and grounds but everywhere. The economy of this small beach town is very dependent upon tourists and most of the people in the service industry treat you like they want you to come back. Cristian and all the staff at Monte Carlo are outstanding and deserving of the highest rating that can be assigned. We ate at a different restaurant (there are many to choose from) every night and we had wonderful meals everywhere. The restaurant/bars on the beach will provide a beautiful sunset dinner if you get there in time. Be prepared for some local “chill” culture when it comes to service attentiveness in most establishments. If you are used to very quick service just know their culture is to work and play at a slower pace.
