Hotel Amapola is a great place over Jaco Beach. Just perfect for families with small kids. The pool is great and it has amenities for the small ones and for adults. Rooms are excellent and just in front of the pool. Mexican restaurant beside the hotel is great! Ask for the Tacos for Share (pa’ compartir)

It was clean and nice but a little out of date. Definitely liked that they were pet friendly. Only bad thing was no internet in the room we stayed in at the back of the facility. Restaurant is fantastic.

The room was given to us 2 hours after the check in time and our children had to wait at the lobby for the room keys. I chose this hotel for the pool so my siblings could enjoy the place and we did lost half a day. When I asked for compensation, they offered a late check out until 1:30 pm which I usually get anyway for my membership status. Anyway, NOT HAPPY

Room was excellent and the property was beautiful. Perhaps the best resort I've stayed at in Costa Rica. My only complaint was that service was slow. Check in took forever. Service at the pool bar was painfully slow.
