Wow, that's a manager as well as Bridget. They were both amazing and wonderful. Very welcoming and every morning we would chitchat over the place is a hidden gem and anyone who goes there will feel welcome and wonderful.

The Beachside motel is the place to stay if you are vacationing Amelia Island. I have been going there at least once a year, the employees and management will remember you. They don’t have a continental breakfast and that helps with keeping the rooms at an affordable price. If you’re there on vacation the best breakfast is at the Magnolia Cafe anyway. The rooms are clean and comfortable. You will not regret staying here to have the extra money to explore all the Island has to offer.

The weather was awful and the lights were out for hours. Then once the lights came back on, my kids wanted to try to enjoy the pool but they had the gates locked. I asked for one night refund to leave and take my kids home because of not having lights but they denied it. There was no beach view.

What a cute little motel. This place is just as described. An old school motel right on the beach. Keep in mind it is a motel, and amenities are limited. Having said that, the rooms are clean, there is a refrigerator and microwave in the deluxe room, as well at plates and utensils in a little kitchen area with a sink and storage. The beach view is unobstructed. Staff is so friendly! Great location to get most places on Amelia Island. All at a very reasonable price. This was our second stay - we'll be back!

Good value motel in a great location. The appliances all worked. The room was clean aside from a few drops splattered on the ceiling. There's a couple vending machines and free coffee in the morning. Aside from the restaurant across the street, there's not much within close walking distance. I was denied a late checkout (on a Wednesday in March) to use the room for a work conference call. Try for a 2nd floor room; the 1st floor has no privacy and must keep the blinds closed.

There is not one negative thing about this motel that I can say. Location was right on the beach, the room was updated and very clean, the pool was pristine, the snacks and coffee were plentiful and the staff was so friendly and personable. Loved this stay and when we return we will be sure to reserve ahead of time.

We really enjoyed our three nights staying for the first time as this small property on the beach. Hotel management & staff we interacted with were very friendly & helpful, responding quickly to any needs or questions. Although the rooms are basic, amenity wise, ours was quiet, comfortable & clean. We were surprised that the room had a mini fridge, so that was a plus for keeping snacks & bevs on hand. Also, centrally located on A1A, so very convenient for exploring the beaches & parks in the area. About ten minutes from downtown Fernandina Beach, with its nice restaurants, shops & bars. We came for a concert at the recently opened Tigre Island Room, a really nice live music venue downtown on 2nd St. We loved the budget friendly price! I expect to stay again, next time we come to beautiful Amelia Island, hopefully very soon.

Room was very nice and appeared to the been redone recently, very comfortable. Ocean is a short walk beyond the dunes, so we had a great beach walk. Too cool to use the pool but it looked inviting for another day. We actually prefer a place without a "free" breakfast and found a fantastic place to eat in Fernandina where there are lots of options.
