「There is no elevator. The breakfast was practically nonexistent. There was no protein offered. No cups available. Only decaf coffee. There was one slice of white bread and one bagel for pastry options. The desk clerk did put her phone down long enough to get some more cups. This was just before 8 AM when breakfast was announced as 6-9.」

「The room itself was just ok. We stayed in a studio king suite room 200. There was a horrible garlic smell in the hallways that wafted into the room both days. The water pressure was not great. The pool was very dirty. Even the next morning it wasn’t cleaned overnight very well. The front desk clerk woman was extremely friendly and nice. Easy off the highway. The restaurant next door was a pizza/Italian restaurant that was pretty good.」

「Clean room but the hotel is dated Friendly staff and decent breakfast were pluses.」

「The building didn’t have any logos, the carpet was musty! And a cockroach was in the bathroom. The front desk ladies was nice.」

「The breakfast was amazing. Rebecca that worked in the dining room was the best. She made the stay worth it.」

「Good value for cost. 」

「This was our first time staying at Holiday Inn Portsmouth Downtown by IHG, as we were traveling through the area to attend a wedding. From the moment we pulled up, everything was smooth and hassle-free. Parking was super easy, and check-in was a breeze thanks to the front desk staff, who were all extremely polite, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was very clean and looked to be freshly renovated. The shower pressure was great, the hot water was hot, and there was plenty of space for two people...

「Clean with nice amenities!」

「The pillows were infested with bed bugs, and I didn’t even lift the sheets to see if the bed was worse. The toilet was clogged and coated in feces, and the windowsills were full of dead bugs. Housekeeping clearly hadn’t been in the room for a while. I left the hotel and slept in my truck. I’m still waiting for my refund, please do not stay here.」

「Very easy to check in, cabin was beautiful with a nice private feeling, hot tub was really nice, loved the fully stocked kitchen with pots/pans/utensils etc. Thank you Kevin for the opportunity to stay in this lovely cabin!」
