The coffee and tea all day access was wonderful. Hotel staff friendly and informative. Best to visit Thursday-Sunday as much of the town is not open Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. The restaurant had great staff but unfortunately was out of a lot of things on the menu. Waited very long just for a salad.

Stately hotel in a historic area of Jackson. Easy walking to interesting shops and quaint restaurants. Our deluxe king room was a little small, but the room was clean and quiet. The lobby was festively decorated for Halloween. The Duke restaurant/bar downstairs was lively and a great place to grab a nightcap. I'd recommend this hotel for those wishing to experience the history, hiking trails and wineries of Amador County.

The room was immaculate and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were perfect. This was a perfect stay. The property is classy and well maintained. I love the style and the historical aspect of the hotel. The fact that famous people have stayed here is intriguing and adds to the appeal of the hotel. It has a haunted vibe, which I love in old historical hotels. We could have a stayed at a generic local chain hotel for a slightly less price, but the character of this hotel is well worth the minimal extra price. Love the history and style we will definitely be back.

Really like the historical aspect to the hotel. It was very clean, very well-maintained. Love the location. Parking was a breeze. And Tamara at the front desk was over the top delightful. Can’t wait to come back. Next time, however, I would really like to try the restaurant, the menu looked pretty good.
