een Topper

Een heel leuk klein en knus hotelletje in een hele leuke buurt waar de locals tassen en schoenen produceren. De eigenaar is een heel vriendelijke Nederlandse afkomstig uit Groningen. Je krijgt alle hulp en tips. Ze regelde voor ons betrouwbare taxi, ze regelde ook voor ons de taxi naar het vliegveld. Maar geeft ook de tips voor restaurants en bezichtigingen. En weet ze het niet zeker belt ze even voor je. Ik ben er voor zaken geweest met een paar extra dagen ontspanning..... perfect Vergeet niet Istanbul is gebouwd op heuvels, dus het is wel eens klimmen, maar geeft wel het bijzondere aan de stad, veel mooie kunst, goed openbaar vervoer, Aanraders, blauwe moskee, grote bazar, varen op de bosporus, en zeker door de straatjes slenteren in verbazen hoe de mensen werken in de ateliers, alles transporteren met handkarren, alles gaat daar om exporteren van tassen en schoenen, veel handelaren uit africaanse landen. Een afspiegeling van de wereldse bevolking vind je in de straatjes. En ga eens lekker eten in de kleine straatjes, waar de local eet is het eten goed en goedkoop. Je eet er al lekker voor 5,- euro met drankje. Eet je een keer langs de drukke straat betaal je met 2 personen wel 30,- maar dan heb je wel toetje na. Ik ga er zeker nog eens terug voor zaken en ontspanning. Een wereld die erg veel indruk op je maakt. 17 miljoen mensen in 1 stad, istanbul is een van de 10 grootste steden ter wereld. Niet twijfelen een perfect hotel met een sfeer en karakter in de juiste

Très bon accueil! Personnel de l'hôtel agréable!

La façade de l'hôtel ne paye pas de mine mais à l'intérieur c'est très joli, propre! Les chambres sont climatisées ,la literie est confortable et l'hôtel est très bien situé on a pu tout faire à pieds! Le petit déjeuner est copieux sous forme de buffet!

Good location for old city in Istanbul

Pearl Hotel is in a convenient location, close to Grand Bazaar, and fairly close to major attractions such as Aja Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace etc. Hotel is a few minutes walking from tram station, which can get you pretty much anywhere... Hotel itself is in a decent condition, reasonably clean. Service is not highly professional but is satisfying. There are not many facilities in the hotel. However, there is a dinning room where breakfast is served and it also has coffee machine available 24/7 - which was great for a coffee lover like myself. Also available 24/7 is fresh drinking water (tap water is not safe for drinking in Istanbul). Overall, I could recommend this hotel for stay in Istanbul.

The hotel was very dirty with an awful smell. I changed the room twice. I was told by one staff that the owner is German. When the owner is around, the hotel is maintained and when the owner is away, the hotel cleanliness and services go down ... It was a horrible stay.

Incredible Value

Wonderful hotel, probably the best I've been to in Istanbul in at least a dozen trips to the city. Incredible value, very high standards of cleanliness and functionality. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The air conditioning was a big plus, and the bathrooms were very nice (something you need to watch out for here, especially as you get to the more economically priced venues). The location is virtually perfect, in the middle of the shopping district , very close to things of touristic value and located exactly on the line where European-looking visitors will stop being pressured into buying something by everyone they see. The only real issue is that there's not much table space in the room, but for the price, location, and quality of the place I'd hardly call that an issue. A great find!
