It was fantastically located near to all the sights we wanted to go see. The restaurant was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We can warmly recommend, and we will be staying here if we travel to Istanbul again.

The hotel was in a great location, very close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue mosque (2-4 mins) , with a short walk (10 mins) to the tram/ferry terminals. Staff were welcoming and nice. However, they didn't have our room available on arrival, so we were given a family room for the first night. We were then given our respective rooms the next day, but one of them wasn't what we had paid for with a sea view, which was disappointing and smaller. The rooms were clean, with good facilities. Cleaning staff were lovely and very accomodating. Breakfast was served at a restaurant about a minute's walk from the hotel. The food was good, with a generous variety to choose from.

First of all we booked a king bed with sea view, what we got was a double bed that was on the floor pushed up against the wall, with a comforter that was a twin size in like less then a hundred square feet, it was nothing like the picture that they showed. No wash cloths and one hand towel. And it was directly under rooftop restaurant, and everytime someone push a chair in or out we heard screeching till 3 am, which was supposed to close at midnight. The location was fantastic, the staff was nice, we did have a meal in the rooftop restaurant and was wonderful.

Small but new room with a fantastic location next to top sites. Great rooftop spot for breakfast to watch the sun rise over the Bosphorus. Central location with all noises of the city. highly recommended.

Just spent 6 night in this hotel with young family and it was a wonderful experience the rooms are clean and the hotel is modern with TV, Fridge and comfortable beds. Also Great Location to visit the Sultanahmet Square less then 5 mins walk away. The staff are always helpful and make the experience of visiting this beautiful city enjoyable. Location, location, location. Near Sultan ahmet and Hagia sophia 3 mins walk. Can rise up early to avoid crowds.. Lots of restaurants. Hospitable staff, lovely bed nice decor of building.

The location and the staff are excellent. But room cleaning isn’t as good. only one female staff at breakfast in No.3 is looking at guests and talking in her language, almost like making fun or laughing about them, wasn’t nice to see. But apart from her every other staff from reception to restaurants are extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast options are very limited - this was meant to be our highlight, hence we chose a 4* hotel, we’ve stayed in other 4* close by with amazing breakfast options. lots of flies everywhere, air con not working, cat coming in dirty- apart from Breakfast options and area the hotel is good.

Great experience! Great location, 5 minutes walking to blue mosque and Santa Sofía mosque, very nice neighborhood to have great dinner, astra bazar good place for shopping. Breakfast could be better but it’s ok . Staff is kindly and helpful.

The Joyway Hotel offers reasonably priced and sizeable rooms with views of the sea and the daily tourist activity in Sultanahmet. Although it’s a walkable distance to the historical attractions, shopping and restaurants, the hotel is rather quiet and tranquil at night. The rooftop restaurant is very good and is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the Bosphorus. The staff were very friendly and took care of all our needs and requests. We would certainly consider another stay at Joyway if we return to Istanbul again.

All in all it was a good stay. The room was clean and as shown in the picture. It was just a bit loud in the morning as all the taxis and busses arrive right in front of the hotel for Hagia Sophia. The room was tiny so we weren’t able to open any suitcases in full.

It was excellent experience. Hotel is new , clean, rooms are small but clean and bathrooms are fully equipped with disposable things like for shaving , toothbrush and paste, hair cone, shower gel, conditioner , body scrub, nail file :) panty liners, shower cap, a-tips, cotton rounds and more ;) never eeen such big variety in any hotel. Staff is beyond amazing : friendly, will do everything to accommodate your special requests , fresh bed, towels and more. Terrace vista is delicious, fresh food restaurant you can’t get enough of fresh fish and good vine… staff is serving to the T and like a black tie service. Good is fresh , feet it fish , and all views are to the see for every table . Per request you can feed seabird and take a breath taking photos and experience.. Enjoy !

Good location but lacks basic hospitality!

Hotel was clean and modern. Location was very good, however, our stay was ruined by the fact that there was no hot water available and the heating system was not working effectively. We stayed during the end if Nivember ao it was cold and wet outdoors and we needed to be able to have a hot shower after a day of exploring in the cold and wet weather. On the first day of our stay we informed staff about the issue and were advised that there is a problem throughout tje hotel but this would be foxed in a few hours. Later that day it still wasn’t fixed. we complained again and were told tbey would fix the issue worh the water. The issue was never fixed througout our stay. We asked for another room to be able to shower in and tbey ioened up a vacant room for us to use the shower in, but there was also no hot water here. Shower temp was set in full and at the most, the water would tirn luke warm for 30 seconds before becoming freezing cold again. Each time we complained about the water, we were told someone would come up to look at it, so we were unable to relax in the room as we were waiting for staff but no one would come. Because of these issues our stay was unpleasant amd they inly good thing about the hotel was the location beaing in close proximity to all the main tourist attractions. The manager offered a free breakfast as compensation for not providing the basic services a hotel should provide which include heating and hot water, and we have left feeling unwell.

Comfortable and affordable Hotel in Istanbul

We stay 3 nights at this hotel, located exactly in the center of Istanbul old city, only walking distance to Hagia Sofia, blue mosque and topkapi palace, surrounded by many original turkish restaurants and foodmarts. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, supported by a helpful and kind staffs. The breakfast was awesome, even only traditional turkish style breakfast, we had an enjoyable morning breakfast with stunning view to the bosphorus strait. Here I am attaching one of my selfie photo on the balcony adjacent to the restaurant. One most important thing is the hotel has an affordable and competitive price👍👍👍
