I’ll try to be the most impartial person I can. Unfortunately I booked it for 3 nights and I could stay only one, I’d to find another place to spend the rest. If you are traveling solo and/or really don’t mind for a nice room to accommodate you, it’s a nice place to be and close to everywhere. In my case I believe that was more into expectations I had before. The room was super small, the mattress had a deep in one of the sides, being uncomfortable to sleep. The bathroom wasn’t as described correctly and didn’t have enough fotos in the ad. It was literally an appendix inside the room with a glass to protect. In addition the shower cab was super tight for a 1.85m person and had no light and no window. Breakfast, super disappointing. I paid for it and had to pay again to get a scrambled egg. On top, breads were like the leftovers from the previous day. Lastly, the windows were not protecting at all the noise from outside, making my night worse. I approached the reception and they offered me another room but literally with the same layout of toilet, room and breakfast. I refused and booked another hotel.

The street noise in front of the hotel is excessive; frequent cars lay on their horns all night long. The hotel windows do very little to mitigate this. Almost no sleep was had for two nights. The mini fridge would not stay on and the TV had no signal. Plus, the heavy glass shower door is stuck on the concrete sill at the bottom and makes a terrible noise if moved. No showers were taken over two days. The good things that can be said: close to metro and Galata tower, friendly staff, nice breakfast room with decent breakfast.

They told us that the AC was not working because it is October. True it was in the 60’s outside but in the was very warm in the room. Opening the window was no help and it was very noisy outside.

The only good thing is its location. You can definitely find this type of hotel for half the price elsewhere. The room is extremely small. The bathroom and toilet are so tiny that the top is even open. The smell from the toilet spreads directly into the room. When the upstairs flushes, the sound comes straight into our room. Breakfast is available but there’s neither any pastry nor simit. Definitely a hotel that does not deserve its price.

This place was really loud at night. Also there are no screens so there were bugs biting us that were coming in the open window that is was the only ventilation because there was no AC. The location was very central and great for walking and wandering the tourist shops and restaurants.

I want to use all my words as efficient as I can to keep this review short for those who need. One star goes to horrible quality (wasted, broken, must refreshed) of the bed! I knew room was tight and bathroom even tighter but multiple futures of the bathroom was out of use, fully custom made (try to made) tiny bathroom was a pain but even bigger pain was the response from the receptionists. They were so unpleasant to intake the problem and absolute zero solution to change the bed. I didn’t even mention all other problems in the room that needs help but bed! I had to stay for three nights but it hurts even more to see people behind that small reception letting you know administration of the establishment do not care. I told them about the problems in the room three times and added that be ready for a very sad but true review. I do not recommend Galatahan.
