Bad, Very Very Bad Stay

Rate is Fake. Bad, Very Bad stay. Give 10$ more and stay in much better conditions. At least get a normal breakfast, normal size room without smelling. I don't know how it is rated 4,4. Don't believe the rate, actual rate should be no more than 1,5. Make yourself something good and believe what I write here. Again, give 10$ more and stay under conditions.

Wir mussten unfreiwillig wechseln

Als wir ankammen wurden wir nett empfangen und konnten unser Zimmer dank Lift einfach und schnell beziehen. Die Zimmer sind aber sehr sehr klein, für eine Städtereise bei der man sowieso nicht viel im Hotel ist aber sehr geeignet. Sehr sehenswert ist die Dachterasse mit wunderschönem Blick auf das goldene Horn. Dort zu frühstücken ist sehr empfehlenswert. Leider fiel ab dem ersten Tag unseres Aufenthalts aufgrund eines kaputten Kabels der Strom aus. Wir hielten zwei Juli-Nächte ohne Klimaanlage und Licht durch, beschlossen aber aufgrund der schleppenden Reperaturarbeiten der Stadt das Hotel zu wechseln. Das Personal tat uns sehr leid, da sie nichts für das Problem konnten. Auch gaben sie in der Situation ihr Bestes, verteilten jede Menge Kerzen am Abend, informierten immer über den Stand der Reperaturen und waren sehr entgegen kommend bei der Rückerstattung der schon bezahlten Buchung. Trotz der Vorkommnisse ein schönes und empfehlenswertes Hotel mit äusserst freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal.

Personel çok güler yüzlü ve sıcakdı, her türlü yardımda bulundular. Odalar gayet temiz ve düzenliydi. Konum olarak zaten istiklale 3-4 dk mesafede. Terası muazzam. Fiyat olarak da uygun. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden in Zukunft dieses Hotel wieder buchen. Die Metrostation Sishane ist ca. 5 Min. entfernt. Der Blick von der Dachterrasse ist grandios.

Hidden Gem - Centrally Located

This place was fantastic! Small narrow five-story hotel in the “new city” section of Istanbul on the European side. Old world charm with modern updates. Roof top terrace with partial view of the city and the Golden Horn. On a quiet narrow street, but close to everything Istanbul has to offer: Galata Tower is less than a 10 minute walk, Istiklal Street, with all its shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants is a 5+ minute walk, while Taksim Square is maybe a 20 minute walk. Located right off Refik Saydam Blvd, which is a main thoroughfare for a quick cab ride to another part of the city (old city less than 15 minutes away). I had the economy room, which was small and compact, but clean and tidy. Bathroom was new. Had I known, I would have spent a few extra bucks and got the larger room facing the street (next time). The staff was incredible! This is owner occupied and operated, which makes a difference. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included, fruits, juices, breads and pastries, cereals, cheese, and if you ask, the kitchen lady will make you an omelette! This is not a big fancy corporate American style hotel - It’s comfortable, economical, and centrally located. I really enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel close Taksim Square, Galata Tower

I loved my 3 weeks stay at Big Urban stay. Rooms are very clean, local breakfast always fresh and great people.

Ruhiges Hotel in Galata

Ich wohnte in einem Istanbuler Stadthaus, das zum Hotel umgebaut worden war. Stilvoll und originell ausgebaut. Mein Zimmer war klein, aber extrem ruhig obwohl der Istiklal nur ein paar Blöcke entfernt ist. Die Rezeptionistin gab mir Tipps, wo ich traditionelle Kinos finden konnte. Im Keller war die Küche, wo man mit anderen Gästen an einem großen Tisch sitzen konnte. Oder aber man ließ sich das Frühstück auf einem Tablett geben und fuhr mit dem Fahrstuhl in den sechsten Stock um es auf dem Dach bei einem herrlich Blick über die Stadt auf das goldene Horn und die Moscheen zu genießen. Wunderbar. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Simpelt, smuk tagterrasse, god service og velfungerende indretning. Et af de dejligste billige hoteller i Istanbul. Selve gaden er lidt gemt og skummel, men det gør ikke det store. Pera og Sishane er 100 meter derfra.

Practical but lacks personality at the moment

Stayed for one night. Conveniently close to Sishane metro, but on a rather empty street. If only the hotel would put a little more effort into personalizing the room with artwork, colorful bedding, etc. My standard room had a comfortable bed, light-blocking curtains, clean and relatively large bathroom, and relative quiet on a Saturday night, but was totally devoid of personality. I didn't mind, but the room was also very small and had an exit door. Overall, the room is probably fine for a business traveler, but a tourist would probably like something more. Breakfast was fine: cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, boiled egg, bread, and jam, with free tea and extra charge (2 lira) filter coffee. The woman in charge of the kitchen was friendly. The concierges were friendly but they were confused about the mode of payment, and also weren't there when I was checking out. The roofdeck was a nice touch. I would consider coming back if it becomes less anonymous looking

Hidden gem in Istanbul.

I feel as if we found a little gem with Big Urban Stay Istanbul. We got a suite room in the annex with a gorgeous view of the Golden Horn. Perfect for sunrises and sunsets. It's simply furnished but comfortable. I find the bed a bit too hard but I still get a good night's sleep. The staff here are all very helpful and delightful to talk to. They gave us lots of tips about what to visit. I would recommend this hotel.

Schöne Wohnung in super Lage

Die Apartments sind auf zwei nebeneinander liegenden Wohnhäuser verteilt. Wir hatten die Wohnung im obersten Stockwerk, großes Fenster mit Meerblick und auf der anderen Seite eine eigene Terrasse. Die Dachterrasse (für alle) mit Aussicht, Rezeption und Frühstücksraum ist im Haus nebenan, was überhaupt nicht stört. Die Metro Station Sishane und die obere Tünel Station (Bahn fährt von unten Karaköy nach oben zur Tünel Station) sowie das untere Ende der Istiklal Cd. (Fußgängerzone bis Taksim Platz) sind sehr, sehr nah. Es sind viele Bars und Restaurants zu Fuß erreichbar. Das junge Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war super Lecker und die Wohnung für 3 Personen groß genug. Das Sofa war zum Schlafen zu klein aber wir bekamen ein Klappbett gestellt. Die Küche hat kaum Ausstattung zum Kochen. Ich bin mir sicher die netten Leute hätten alles besorgt was man braucht. Wir brauchten nur einen Wasserkocher und der war vorhanden. Wir waren im Dezember da, daher waren wir sehr froh, dass die zahlreichen Heizungen gut heizten.

Très pratique

Bel hôtel de 5 étages, récemment rénové, avec 3 chambres par étage, un sous sol où l'on prend les petits dej et une terrasse avec une belle vue (où l'on peut aussi prendre son petit dej). Des standardistes très sympas et de bon conseils. Nous avions une chambre de catégorie moyenne, à savoir environ 20 m2, déco très bien, bonne literie et tout le confort nécessaire. Un seul point négatif sur la salle de bain, plus précisément sur le lavabo qui est trop étroit et le manque de place autour pour disposer ses affaires. Sinon c'est propre, rien à redire de ce côté là. Nous étions un groupe de 4, réparti sur 2 chambres, et nous avons beaucoup apprécié la proximité du métro à qqs mètres ainsi que le tram pour aller à Taksim. C'est un super quartier, très animé le soir, plein de restos, plein de vie. Heureusement l'hôtel est dans une rue adjacente, très calme bien qu'elle ne paye pas trop de mine au premier abord. Pas vraiment convaincu par le ptit dej, simple et bof sur le choix des produits. Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir à cet hôtel, c'est un bon rapport qualité/prix me semble-t-il. Je le conseille vivement pour son emplacement.

Très bon séjour au coeur d'Isbantul

L'hotel est très bien situé, dans une petite rue proche de la principale rue commerçante et de la tour Galata. Le petit déjeuner servi est simple, local et bon. Le personnel de l'hotel est très sympa. Je le recommande sans problème, c'est un excellent rapport qualité, prix.

Super Hotel mit perfekter Lage!

Die Mitarbeiter waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war auch gut vorallem mit der Megaaussicht oben auf der Dachterrasse! Es wurde immer sauber gemacht... also einfach genial für den Preis!
