"Breathtaking views in tranquil surroundings.
Hotel was very well maintained, staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful with plentiful of choices."
"Great property with amazing staff. Beware of the fees the hotel charges on activities. If a winery charges 30€ for a tasting, the hotel will charge you 65€ for the experience, a steep commission…"
"A truly unique experience! The amount of works that Mario and Paola have put in to give a new life for this 1883 light house and to share with other travelers are simply remarkable. Also, everything has to be brought in from outside through parts non paved rocky road with a jeep in order to cover guests’ needs, the intention is more than running a business but much larger than life. I’m truly grateful to have this experience at Faro da Paola e Mario!!! "
"The property is beautiful and the staff are amazing. The owners of the property should be proud and lucky to have Francesca, she was incredible, very helpful helping us resolving any issue that came up. (renting a car, finding us transportation from and to the airport, recommending interesting places to visit just to mention a few). Food is great and the service is fantastic.
We totally recommend the hotel."
"Pros- breakfast was simple but very good, breakfast room was cute. The ladies who worked the breakfast in the mornings were all so nice. View was nice. Room was fine for the most part. Valeria was especially lovely
Cons- the noise was crazy. You could hear people walking, talking, showering all hours of the night.
The shower was so tight I was banging my elbows when washing my hair.
I asked for a room upgrade and was shown a better room so we decided to take it, but when we brought all of our luggage down to the front desk, we were then informed that it was only available for a partial part of our stay. This wasn’t communicated when I was taken to see the room, so it felt like a big waste of time and energy. The street parking was basically non existent. We had to park about 400m away and walk back.
We wouldn’t stay here again, but I also don’t recommend against it. It wasn’t terrible. It just wasn’t for us."
