Absolutely loved our stay here!!! The decor is amazing, love the entire concept of the place. And they provided a ton of food for breakfast! Bed was super comfy. Overall 10/10
What an amazing find…a beautifully maintained hotel in the heart of one Scotland’s most beautiful places.
The rooms are a good size but the attraction is that they are exquisitely decorated and well-equipped. There are no staff on the premises but the rooms are serviced each day and the amazing variety of breakfast ingredients (including locally-sourced smoked salmon and cheeses as well as granola, fresh rolls, croissants and preserves, juice etc.)
Very clean nice room. Well equipped breakfast in mini-fridge. Quiet. Not right on the waterfront so parking was easy. Excellent communication about entry.
After a small hiccup with our room we were moved to another room and could not fault anything.
The room (room 1), was large, beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was the perfect temperature (autumn weather in Scotland).
The continental breakfast was also excellent, the coffee pods were very easy to use and made the room smell amazing. The bottle of fizz was a lovely surprise too.
We would definitely go back again :-)
Absolutely loved it, charming and unique. The breakfast and provisions in the room was great and the decor was flawless. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic.
The property is modern in outlook, with beautiful decor, (Room 2) the shower is first class. We loved the honesty bar and the continetal breakfast available in the fridge in the room. Tbe room was kept spotless Thank you so much
Very nice boutique hotel, clean and totally no staff at the premises which works out great. Loved the breakfast in the room. Parking is free, right in front of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again
Beautiful house. Stunning decor influenced by Art Deco. Very comfortable and quiet. Lovely breakfast supplies in the room fridge for a private breakfast.
I stated for 2 nights with my husband. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and attention to detail! We had everything we could possibly need or want in the room! Highly recommend!
Suite was beautiful. One of the nicest we've stayed in Scotland. Self-serve breakfast and snacks in our suite were delicious, ample, and restocked. Loved it. A little out of the main part of town, but it takes seconds to drive and minutes to walk.
I’ve never stayed at a more beautiful hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The food and honour bar were incredible touches. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to feel special. If I ever went back to Tobermory, I would book here without a doubt. It should be rated a 8 star hotel!!!
Great accommodation with a first class ‘food hamper’ which was superior to a number of hotel breakfasts I have experienced. The secure entry system worked without a hitch. I would definitely recommend and look forward to returning.
It was a simple check in after a very last minute booking. The room was beautifully decorated with a lovely comfortable bed and pillows. Everything about the stay was no contact with the owners, but all the communication was excellent, so again nice and simple. We booked on a B&B basis and the room had all our breakfast with some lovely personal touches. Smoked Salmon and Sparkling Wine, beers and croissants.
Stunning house with amazing complimentary items in your room and self-service breakfast. I unfortunately didn’t receive a check-in code after registering so had to phone the on-call number on arrival. Not sure it was the house’s fault though. Could have been hotels.com. Would stay again.
At first we were not sure about a hotel without anyone at the counter or the bar but it worked out very well. A well stacked honesty bar with seating and board games available. The in-room breakfast was rich and of good quality. For a longer stay I would appreciate some storage space so you don't have to live out of the suitcase.
Clean, stylishly decorated rooms (decor wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste), with good shower. The ‘hotel’ is unmanned, so external entry and to your room is by key code - we struggled with it initially and saw several other guests having similar issues. Unmanned also means that breakfast is provided via a good selection of provisions (croissants, bread rolls, granola, berries, juice, smoked salmon, cream-cheese, hard cheese, cured meats, milk, tea and coffee) left in your room / fridge. Again, this wouldn’t appeal to everyone and we found it a bit of a faff, preparing and eating breakfast at a small table in a relatively small room. It’s located relatively close - a pleasant 10 min walk, with lovely views of the bay - to the Main Street / waterfront, but walking back up a steep hill, although easy for us, might be a struggle for others.
The Roslyn House is simply spectacular.
It’s a small property with only a few rooms BUT it is an exquisite little jewel. The decor is tasteful and beautifully executed. Every detail tiny is perfect.
Our room was exceptionally comfortable and had a very pretty view.
There is a small lounge for relaxing with an evening drink and a breakfast hamper including a selection of meats, cheese and bread/croissants is provided in room along with coffee/tea and juice, yogurt and cereal.
There is ample on street parking immediately proximate to the property and several fun dining options just a 3 minute drive down into Tobermory.
If we ever return to Tobermory, we would book into Rosyln House.
Overall the stay was very nice. We only stayed for one night and it was very last minute which is why I didn't research that the only way to get there was by taking at least one ferry (which was full so we took another route and took two ferries). I know it said it was on the Isle of Mull but since it was our first time in Scotland I thought there would be a bridge. My bad. Not having any staff on site was a little unusual but not necessarily a bad thing. We were able to get into the property and the room following the instructions given. I noticed that the light in the mirror on the washroom had been disconnected and taped off which just meant that using the washroom in the middle of the night was either very dark or very bright if you had to turn the only light on. My wife was a little disappointed that the only wine was prosecco. It would have been nice to have at least one non-sparkling white wine and/or one red wine to choose from but perhaps they are not available in smaller bottles or container sizes in Scotland.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the location was quiet and it was within walking distance to the main waterfront street for someone with average health (have to walk up a hill from the waterfront to the hotel). The owners consider it a boutique hotel and it may not be for everyone but overall it was quite a nice experience.
