We absolutely loved our stay at Bowmore house. We booked the distillery view room. It was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, and we even got to sample the proprietary whisky. The staff kicked us informed of any possible issues with returning from the island via the ferry. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit.

What a beautiful guesthouse! The hosts were very friendly and were of great assistance to me in arranging transportation while I was in the area doing some distillery tours. The breakfasts were excellent and the accommodations were very spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Andrew and Alison are amazing!! Breakfast every morning is fantastic, and Andrew is great at helping you plan your day based on the weather, your bookings (book your tours in advance!) and your transportation options. Super quiet and you can walk into town easily! Go stay with them!

Highly recommend The Bowmore House

We had a lovely stay at The Bowmore House. Very comfortable and clean. Our hosts were extremely helpful in giving us advice about the island. The breakfast was really good and the rooms very clean.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this accommodation. Also, Bowmore is very central to the rest of the island.

Andrew and Alison were the perfect hosts - very welcoming, gave great insights to places to eat in Bowmore, as well as near the distilleries we were visiting. Andrew also double checked our ferry to make sure the port wasn't switched on us! Very large, comfortable room with an amazing view over Bowmore. It's very centrally located on the Island, as well as very walkable to any place in Bowmore. Breakfast both mornings were fantastic- one a full proper Scottish breakfast cooked to perfection (great coffee too!), and the second, Andrew packed us a delicious meal to go for us to go as we had an early morning Ferry to catch. We will be staying here again when we next visit Islay!

Brilliant B&B

Andrew and Alison were extremely welcoming. Their B&B is an absolute credit to them and they could not do enough to make a weary biker feel at home. The location is ideal for exploring Islay and the fantastic Bowmore Distillery. The breakfast is one of the best breakfast's I've ever had (bacon, Lorne sausage and haggis roll). Cooked perfectly. Look no further, you've found the B&B you were looking for!

The owners were extremely welcoming, every day started with a delicious breakfast and a chat about the days plans, they often shared their local knowledge of certain distilleries. This attention to detail extended to making sure everyone knew what ferry they were on and if there were disruptions. The location is perfectly central, so 20 minutes drive north or south covers all the distilleries on Islay. Cannot recommend The Bowmore House highly enough.

The owner and his wife are so kind and helpful. We had a very large room with a bay window looking out over the water which was fabulous! We were offered Islay whiskey for breakfast every morning along with a delicious breakfast cooked by the owner himself!

Felt like we stayed with our Scottish Family

This is by far the absolute BEST place to stay on Islay! We were warmly greeted by Andrew prior to our arrival. He let us know about the local restaurants, tours available and the ferry information. Andrew’s kindness and warmth made our stay feel like we were staying with our Scottish family. The beds are soft but firm. The blankets like soft butter you melt into. The bath water was immediately hot, no lag time. Plenty of fluffy towels await you after. The made to order breakfast is amazing! Delicious. Plenty of options. Our fridge was stocked with plenty of juice, milk and water to keep us hydrated. This family run B&B is the only place we will ever stay in Islay. It’s perfect.

Absolutely fabulous stay, stayed in the bowmore suite which was amazing, huge room with fabulous views of the bay and also to Jura Breakfast served to the room due to covid and was delicious. Shame we had to leave early on our second day but did have cereal in the room as well as teas , juices etc Welcomed with a dram of whiskey Very friendly host Andrew who sent us information and recommendations about the island prior to check in so we could ensure we made bookings for restaurants and distillaries due to reduced covid capacity Would definately stay again if returning to Islay

Andrew and Alison were very welcoming. Our room at the Bowmore bed and breakfast was spacious and very clean. It had an amazing view overlooking the water, and saw some beautiful sunsets!! The full Scottish breakfast was delicious! We will definitely go back to Islay and stay with them again!

アイラ島にウイスキー蒸留所めぐりに行きました。その際に２泊させていただきました。 部屋も浴室もとても広く、シャワーとバスは別にありました。 朝食も伝統的なスコティッシュブレックファストで朝からとても楽しく過ごすことができました。 主人にはとても良くしていただ、最高の思い出ができました。 またアイラ島へ行くときには必ず宿泊したいと思える素敵な宿でした。
