We had asked for sea side. I wouldn't exactly say our room was sea side. Also the roaches were very very disturbing! Rather gross. Now we are terrified that we will be bringing them home in our luggage. For the price I expected more. Also you can't get even coffee until 8am. You need pest control for sure.

The mattress and bed platform was a horrible combination-it squeaked loudly with every move, and the mattress was completely worn out to the point springs poked me in the back and side. One young man front staff member was very helpful, and the other, a young lady was clueless. We extended two days and confirmed the the same with a young man who got us assigned to the same room. The morning of the last day the lady at the front desk told my wife the room key wouldn’t work because some else was staying in the room today. The front desk lady was also provided our name twice, and assured we had the room, but she couldn’t be bothered to check in the system who’s name was associated with Sunday’s reservation. She simply kept telling my wife she’d have to reserve and pay for another room-insane. My wife then left, and I went to the office. I showed her an email of our Expedia reservation. Then only at my direction, and after several minutes of going back and forth with a growing line being me, did she then looked in the system. Ahhh- then she saw the name on reservation for the room was in our name. Now, after initially being told our name several times, why wouldn’t she look to see what name was associated with the reservation? Instead of checking in the system, we had unnecessary stress and aggravation. So, our stay was not enjoyable due to a really bad matress and beat form, dirty and torn sofa in this kind oceanfront suite, and a unhelpful staff member.

Our room was a wonderful large room on the third floor with a view of the ocean and a ginormous balcony. Everything was super clean, the young lady at check-in was so very nice, and it was centrally located in Islamorada, right where I needed to be for boating the next day. And they had an ice machine and it works, and there’s a ramp for boats right on or adjacent to the property, and there was adequate parking. We got back pretty late and were able to find a spot in their small lot pretty easily I would highly recommend this facility for anyone who plans on spending a little bit of time in Islamorada

As a boutique resort, it ws nice. We liked many things about this place like the view of the ocean and the size of the resort. Things we weren't thrilled with were: the king size bed was old and noisy. You couldn't move slightly without the under frame making alot of noise. The sofa/pull out couch was old and wore out. We didn't sleep on it, but I really didn't want to sit on it bc it was so uncomfortable with the springs and cushions caving in. Should be replaced. Otherwise we liked the size of the unit with the efficiancy kitchen area and the door separating the bedroom from the living area. Very quaint resort. Staff was very nice.

Hotel rate included a "continental breakfast" --all 3 mornings we were there they were out of yougart and eggs and there was not fruit except bottled orange juice. There was a market down the street, but the surly teenager in charge said he wasn't authorized to buy anything. Also, the king mattress was old and needs to be replaced. There were no reading lights in the bedroom. Nicely located but poorly run property.
