「We have stayed here before and it is a good practical option for us when we visit family. It is clean modern and nice and warm. We have stayed twice before in different rooms, both of which were bigger than the one we had this time. It would really have been more suitable for a single guest. That being said, we did manage ok for 2 nights. We did notice the noise from other guests a bit more this time than we did before. The location is ideal as there are shops, bars and decent restaurants...

「The guest house was excellent except others using it were not. Signs are needed to close doors quietly as front door bangs very loudly. Those leaving also banged their doors. Arguments in hall in middle of night was awful. I understand this is not owners fault but signage asking to be respectful of others may help. We were wakened at 2am till 4am with the noise. No concern over room which was great.」

「House was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Was met by one of the owners, who was very welcoming and she gave me my key and some useful information. The room (a small double) was beautiful and looked out onto the main room. Bed was comfy and had a great night's sleep. Only 2 issues, plug sockets are all very low to the carpet and I struggled to use them, as I have health issues. Other issue was the shower. I struggled to get hot shower, with all the buttons and yhen when I did get...

「Reception and lounge were lovely and welcoming. Staff at reception were efficient. Food was a bit slow and ok. Wrong order was brought to our table. So one of our diners got the wrong food but didn't realise until she started eating it. Breakfast was very acceptable. Enough of a variety for most . Bedrooms were looking very tired. They were ok but could definitely do with an upgrade. All in all it was fine for a couple of nights.」

「Room was spotless, great shower. Bed was really comfortable. The food from the restaurant was excellent and service was great. 4 EV chargers which allowed us to charge up before going home. Only couple of issues, I filled in online the “pre checkin” form to save time (hotels words not mine). But when I got to reception I had to complete it again. Iron in the room was all sticky too. Small issues, hotel was great」

「Carpet has never been cleaned. Shower drainage blocked. The door key snapped when I tried to unlock. They wanted me to pay £90 for the key. The room smelled bad. It’s a guest house for people with no standards 」

「We had a lovely stay at the Piersland house to attend a wedding at a nearby hotel. The breakfast was very delicious with a good selection of local produce. The hotel is in a great location for amenities in Troon.」

「Have been before to this boutique hotel and the standard has never failed. Guy on reception was friendly and pleasant. Advised that food wasn’t available atm in the hotel but that he would telephone two down at the Seamill Hydro Hotel for dinner and gave us a voucher for breakfast at same hotel. Dinner booking was abit late for us so declined and went elsewhere. The breakfast was lovely at the Hydro. Hotel was nice and warm, room and bathroom spotless. Would return and recommend to others」
