The room was full of dust and cobwebs and daddy long legs along the roof.. The buffett hot breakfast bar was not clean. The front screen was not cleaned and a cobweb was actually hanging from the inside of the hotplate. As we were there for 2 days it was still there on the second morning. The breakfast was ok I think it would be better to go back to ordering breakfast rarther than a buffet Not enough through flow of guests for example all the fried eggs on display were hard.

The rooms are dated which is not a significant issue but the walls between rooms are paper thin to the point you can hear conversations clearly. The front of the hotel faces a busy road which was very noisy from 6am onwards. The road was very quiet in the evening.

Two night break

Overall our stay was very good. All the staff were friendly and professional and were always keen to help in any way. There was a reasonable choice at breakfast. The hot option could have been hotter and I chose bacon and baked beans from a good selection of hot food but they only gave you one rasher of bacon. We had an excellent evening meal on the first night, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We did not eat in the hotel on the second night as the menu did not change apart from a different pie for the main course. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Lovely staff, food v. Expensive for what it was, shower however was abysmal, barely enough pressure to get wet, and only two temperatures, freezing and scalding!

Give it a miss

Was not impressed with the room in the least which was suppost to be a Superior room, wouldn't of liked to of seen the standard. Both mornings no hot water in the shower complained the first morning to be told no its not cold water its tepped !! it was cold. Booked the hotel for the food reviews as travel all over the country with work and fancied trying something different so tried the Fish Goujouns turned out to be fish fingers. Lesson learned dont stay here again

This has to be one of the dirtiest hotels that I’ve ever stayed in. Please take a look at the photographs. It was disgusting. The management should be ashamed. There was so many bugs dust It was an embarrassment. I will say this the staff are exceptional very polite ,the hotel itself was an embarrassment. I contacted the hotel but nobody responded.

We stayed here for 3 nights while exploring Aberdeenshire and it was very suitable for our purposes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy but the decor was a bit tired. Marks on the bed base and one of the blinds was broken. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was OK
