I had a great experience at this hostel. It’s located in such a nice area, with a beautiful small river infront. There is a nice small common area to hang out and the facility was overall clean and tidy.
The view from our room was beautiful of the river and mountains and sunset. This felt like a hotel but was a hostel in that we had shared bathroom, shower, kitchen and dining rooms. The roof terrace and dining areas were exceptional. The daily brunch was wonderful! Prices are higher in Switzerland so we chose a smaller room & spent most of our time outside.
Staff are so kind. Check in was great! We stayed one night as a jump off place for the Lauterbrunnen valley and Murren.we were also returning 3 days later and they held our bags for us and had them already in our room when we returned. This allowed us to travel extremely light with only the gear we needed for hiking.
An economical lodging option in a convenient location, walkable to Main Street and the train station. I never had to wait to use the common bathrooms, which was great. The rooms aren’t very well insulated, so you can hear some noise from other rooms and the hallway, but it was quiet at night.
It was a good spot for interlaken. Very accessible but away from busy area. If only the room has AC units during summer. Otherwise the stay is pleasant
It’s a simple hostel, but the room was clean and as advertised. The check-in system is automated and worked fine. You can pay 5 francs to check-in early. The balcony was nice; location was great.

Stay
Stay was wonderful. Got a single room and it works just fine for 2 nights. My only complain is that in the shared kitchen, they dont seem to maintain it. No dish washing soap and the sinks were all clogged for a hostel. No one seems to care about it.
First of all i did not expect to have such a beautiful view on the mountains and the water in a hostel. The room was clean and they cleaned it everyday. And the other traveller where very friendly. The place is very well located and not that expensive. I would recommend.
I had a great experience at this hostel. The atmosphere was very social, and I enjoyed sharing and speaking with the other guests. The kitchen and dining hall were lovely, fully equipped, and became the main place where people spent most of their time. The key card system was also fantastic. My only minor issue was that there was often a queue for the showers, so a smoother system there would have made the stay even better.

Disliked: Staff & service
Overall the accommodation was good - the room was a good size and the place was clean and tidy. Although it would benefit from better pillows and aircon or a ceiling fan during summer.
Our main issue was the shocking experience we received from one member of staff at check in - a fairly young asian lady. We rang the bell not realising we are required (not optional) to use the self check in. When she arrived her first words were 'Is there a problem?'. We responded there was no problem we just wanted to check in. She then said 'Yes, so whats the problem?'. We didnt understand and her response was 'It is self check in and unless there is a problem with self check in then there should be no problem'. Weve never experienced such poor service and she continued in this tone until we pointed out she should probably actually greet new arrivals and explain things as if they havent been there before before going straight to this kind of tone - which is still unprofessional and entirely unacceptable. The poor attitude continued as she checked us in and we didnt bother coming back to reception to ask for advice on activities, which was one of the reasons we chose this accommodation.
Overall poor review due to the shocking first impression given by one staff member.
The hotel is not fancy, but it is clean & roomy & the staff is wonderful - they are friendly & helpful.
The location is convenient to the train station & to stores & restaurants.
The very best part of your stay will be breakfast. It’s a lovely feast with many options & everything is fresh & flavorful. Thanks for a very nice visit.
Good stay for the price but it was difficult to sleep in. Very creeky bunk beds that unless you have have earplugs and are a deep sleeper, It'll be hard to get a good rest. I would stay again if options are limited or if a quick 1 night budget stop.
Excellent, newly decorated room. Kitchen and eating area on top floor with rooftop overlooking area around. no breakfast but there is a coop store nearby
