Lovely stay at a quaint hotel with a great location! Owner was very helpful and able to give recommendations in area. Breakfast and atmosphere was outstanding. You will not be disappointed.
Large room with authentic character in a convenient and quiet location. Very tasty and substantial breakfast. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Wonderful stay!
Really peaceful and lovely accommodation. The owner, Hilda, was a delight and was very helpful in suggesting local attractions of Hydra. Hoping to return one day!
Fantastic Hotel 4 min walk from the harbor but still in a very quiet area.
Super friendly and with great service .
Breakfast (very good) server on the roof patio.
This is a beautiful hotel on a perfect island. The hotel is charming and has lovely balconies and meeting areas with fresh flowers everywhere. One can hike uphill to the rural villages along paths with wildflowers in abundance. It is an easy downhill walk to shopping, seaside restaurants and beaches. Great breakfast, friendly and helpful owner.
Beautiful boutique hotel in Hydra Town. Just blocks from the ferry docks. Small property, only a few rooms, excellent housekeeping. And a homemade breakfast that was huge, varied tremendously from day to day, multiple dishes, and NOT a buffet. From pastries to fruit, eggs, coffee, custard…so glad we opted to eat there instead of going to a restaurant. Fantastic place, would go back in a heartbeat.
Nice spacious room at the bottom of the hill and close to where the ferry docks.
Easy walk to everywhere except the Monastery at the top of Mt Eros which isn’t an easy walk from anywhere!
Hilda was very helpful
The Phaedra Hotel is lovely. It is close enough to the port, dining, shopping, etc to walk back and forth many times a day with ease. The noise here consists mainly of roosters, donkeys, and church bells- all pleasant. The breakfast includes more than enough food, much of it home baked. I would be delighted to return.
Perfectly located close to port, many surrounding tavernas, swimming options, part of the Hydra magic.
Hilda, the owner is an outstanding hostess. She made sure we were totally comfortable and gave us great recommendations. The continental breakfasts on the terrace were great. The Phaedra Hotel was endorsed by Rick Steves for good reason.
No doubt, we will return. We now have a friend in Hydra - Hilda!
We had a wonderful stay. It is in the perfect location, near the hiking trail to the monastery, restaurants, and the port. The staff is extra helpful and does everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Amazing staff and amazing location. Hydra is a gem, and Phaedra Hotel is the perfect place to stay. Quiet, but close to everything. I loved the breakfast.
We loved our stay at the Phaedra Hotel. It is a nice quiet and clean property a short walk from the ferry landing. The innkeeper Hilda is lovely. She served a wonderful breakfast each morning and gave us a lot of good recommendations for restaurants and activities.
My sister and I had two nights here. The room was clean comfortable and charming and the owner is a gracious hostess. We had a delightful time and would definitely stay at the Phaedra again.
Comfortable, quiet, helpful staff, copious breakfast - would definitely stay again. Hydra was amazing and the hotel offered a great location to explore the island.
Our stay at the Phaedra hotel was amazing. Even though we were there during the winter months, the island is beautiful and very relaxing. Our room was very large, clean, in a great location, and the owner, Hilda, was extremely helpful and accommodating. The room even had a kitchenette. Definitely recommend staying here.
We stayed for just one night in early January. The hotel is a beautiful, impeccably maintained house not far from the harbour in this gorgeous white town. Our ‘studio’ room was in fact large and well-appointed. The proprietor, Hilda, was very helpful and friendly, and provided us with a very good breakfast. For warmer seasons there is an attractive outdoor terrace.
My husband and I stayed at the Phaedre Hotel only 2 nights but we immediately discovered where to eat and what to see in Hydra. Hilda, the hotel proprietor, also owns a jewelry shop at the harbor and knows an excellent driving service in Athens. Of course I bought beautiful jewelry. The next day in Athens, a professional taxi driver, Michael, met us at Pireas port--on time and at the right location--and drove us to the Acropolis that had been closed for a strike on the weekend. Two hours later he picked us up at Dionysian restaurant and took us to the airport.
To Hilda and her Phaedra Hotel: thank you for being the friendly, tidy and beautiful base for my fulfilling days on that island of wonders. And thank you very much for your cookies, cake and fruits, the sweet company of my lonesome walks. Best wishes, Lutz
As I awoke late to catch the 7:30 boat back to Athens to rent a car to drive the Peloponnese I left my hanging clothing in the closet. Hilda asked for my schedule. I gave her the next hotels and she sent the garment bag to the hotel two stops ahead to be sure it arrived before we did.
