![Hussain Sagar is a heart shaped lake in Hyderabad built by Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah in 1563, during the rule of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah. It is spread across an area of 5.7 square kilometers and is fed by River Musi. A large monolithic statue of the Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992, stands on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of the lake. It also separates Hyderabad from its twin city Secunderabad.[1] The maximum depth of the lake is 32 feet

Room size is WAY TOO SMALL for the price we paid. Still can’t believe they charged us 18,000 for such tiny room. Whoever is in charge of the decision, we really want to know if s/he would pay that kind of amount for that room. Some serious introspection needed.

Clean room with basic amenities. Quick check in and checkout. Multiple food options very close by. 400m from the US consulate.

Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre
The hotel is situated very close to Husein Sagar (a lake with stale water). As soon as you step out, you can not avoid breathing in bad smell and polluted air. The breakfast was no good and very expensive. Not much choice or quality. Very little western choices.
