This place was amazing. There are mountains behind the property and the water across the road. It was beautifully located. We showed up a little early and we were allowed to check in to our room early!

A gem of a find outside of Reykjavik in the town of Akranes. It was well worth the little drive to get there. Set in an idyllic spot between ocean and hills, it was very beautiful. And of course, dont forget to pet the dog.

Solid guesthouse stay

This was our first stay on this summer trip to Iceland. We were exhausted from our travel and a busy first day. They helped us determine our room, and after that we crashed. Comfortable beds and an available kitchen and den area. The warm shower felt so good! We would stay here again.

Nice stay but poor organisation

Moar Guesthouse was a lovely, warm and cosy place for oue one night stay, but we would have happily stayed longer. There was a mix up with the room when we got there and we didn't get a reply from the owner, but we found a free room and took it. Other than that, no complaints, we had a good night's sleep.

Adequate Stay, But Inconvenient Check-In Process

The room itself was fine. It wasn’t luxurious, but we had enough of the basic amenities. According to the information from Hotels.com, we should have received check-in instructions from the guesthouse at least 48 hours in advance. Unfortunately, this did not happen. In the end, we had to call the guesthouse ourselves, but the communication was very difficult. Eventually, we drove to the guesthouse earlier than planned, without any instructions, just to be sure. Fortunately, someone was there to meet us. We didn’t want to arrive too late.

Unfortunately, there were other guest that started to prepare food after 11pm and went around the kitchen and shower very loudly until afte midnight. They also managed to get the fire alarm off and food smoked got into our room, which made us unable to sleep for a while.

Sehr ruhig, einfach angenehm sowohl Abreise als auch Anreise. Nur für 4 Zimmer ist ein Bad mit einer Toilette sehr wenig. Da man, sollte einer duschen, nicht das WC nutzen kann. Aber ansonsten tolles Haus! Sehr empfehlenswert
