The property was warm and clean and close to Húsavík without city prices. We loved meeting Bruno at breakfast and talking with the staff. We enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyable stay

Great little place to stay with access to a kitchen and a good breakfast included. Rooms were clean and cosy. All you need and just a few minutes drive away from Húsavík. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for the great stay, the rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. Kettle right in the room was so convenient. Check in was easy! Loved the breakfast in the morning. The surroundings were lovely, especially watching the horses. Also booked a 2 hour seaside tour and it was amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful! Its also a short drive to Husavik where there were restaurants and other amenities, so very convenient location as well.

This charming guesthouse is composed from former stables. Our room was clean and simply appointed with a fantastic bathroom. Very comfortable bed and great shower! The guesthouse is located in the countryside outside Húsavik. There is a sunny common room and shared kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of options. Highly recommend. has riding stables on the property.

Clean and thoughtfully decorated rooms on a horse farm. Beautiful serene countryside location, minutes from Husavik. Very comfortable beds! Horse riding options. One of the best places we stayed in Iceland!

If you’re looking for views of the Northern Lights, you won’t see them here because the facility has bright lights everywhere. We could not turn off the light outside our door and it lit up our room, even despite curtains. Dirty shower. No greeting from the hosts or goodbye. Not even coffee available.

Excellent hébergement avec des chambres spacieuses, confortables et bien décorées. Il est situé au coeur d'une ferme qui organise des balades à cheval. Les installations sont modernes et nous avons été bien accueillies. L'établissement permet d'accéder à une cuisine commune qui dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires.

So happy we booked here. This was our night off from the camper van and they let us use the kitchen to cook our own dinner. Super friendly staff, Great location and a yummy breakfast. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

We LOVED staying at Saltvik Farm & Guesthouse. The Staff, Maria & Aude were welcoming & relaxed. We went for an Excellent horse ride, & enjoyed riding past waterfalls & cliff edges, surrounded by Autumn colours & snow tipped mountains all around. Tölting for the first time, topped the Experience! We were able to enjoy a soak at GeoSea afterwards, just 10 minutes away, then ate a nice fish dinner In Husavik at Gamli Baukur. Best Fish Soup Ever!

Would stay again

Lovely place to stay that was outside of town so it was quiet and dark at night, very nice for spotting northern lights. Room was small but comfortable, only gripe was the shower water smelled strongly of sulphur which made the room smelled of sulphur for a while. The cold tap water was fine tho and drinkable. Staff were mainly youngsters from abroad and very friendly.
