Comfortable rooms, great food, very friendly staff
A clean and tidy room in this historic pub. Jez and his team are friendly, accommodating, and always happy to help. We stayed for a family wedding held at the local church. We had a wonderful day and then great food, drink, and a comfortable stay at The Black Bull. Highly recommend.
My partner and I stayed for one night along with our little dog. The place was clean and comfortable. Instant coffee, milk and a little kettle waited for us in the room. All the staff was very helpful and extremely nice. Our dog was warmly welcomed as well, for a 10-pound fee. The pub itself is also very nice. Warmly recommended!
we arrived at the black bull in Godmanchester to check in the landlord and staff are friendly the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable we did have an issue with the kettle at the time they didn't have a spare but to resolve the issue the barman lent his own personal kettle from his flat witch he went above and beyond of his duties i would definitely recommend yo stay here

Take earplugs for a peaceful stay
Room above the bar area. Some noise from the bar. Accommodation located on the main road - some road noise. Pathfinder Room has kitchen vent on exterior wall - noisy whilst kitchen open (until 8pm on Tuesday). Corridor floors are creaky. Overall not a peaceful stay - take earplugs.

The property was convenient for our stay as it was close to family member’s residence, so only used it to sleep in one night.
Unfortunately the room we had had a cracked sink, cracked floor tiles,a black bin bag covering some unit in the ceiling and cobwebs hanging from the center ceiling light shade.we did not try the food, although we had been told that the breakfasts were great we were informed by the bar staff that breakfasts were no longer available.

Friendly staff, very dated room. Despite being advertised breakfast was not available neither was bottled water provided in the room. Evening meals were not very good for the price. The “ homemade pie” was extremely hard pastry and the ribs weren’t very good.
This was a one-night stopover for business reasons. The room was perfectly adequate for a night's sleep.Parking availability was good. Shower and bathroom did the job though the water pressure in the shower is fairly weak. Good tea/coffee provision in room. Did not use any of the catering facilities. At £75 it was perhaps a little pricey for what it was, but if I wanted the Hilton I would have booked the Hilton. Reception staff were friendly enough.

Not happy with the 4 o’clock check-in time. I had no idea that the property wasn’t serving food and only found out after checking in. When making reservation nothing was said about food. Normally they have a continental breakfast in the morning which also was unvailable. Finally I was charged for a additional day which has still not been worked out.
I had a great stay at Black Bull Inn. I was lucky enough to be there on a Quiz Night. The desk person (I didn't get his name) invited me to play and gave me a table next to his American friends. It was very nice. The room was great too.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a car park on site. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good too. I had poached eggs and salmon on toast. The only thing we could moan about is the shower not being very powerful!
All in all we enjoyed our stay!
Upon arrival they insisted we pay extra for the 3rd person even though i paid for 3 adults at the time of booking. Also the shower was a trickle both at night and in the morning. When mentioned they said this was to be expected in an old property!
