Possibly the worst, dirtiest, run down hotel I've stayed in the last 20 years of travelling for work. Dirty doors & walls & peeling ceilings and woodwork in corridors.Peeling ceilings, stained walls (fluid marks etc.), and stained carpets in my room. Unmade bedding on the first night. If i could have found a room in a different hotel I would have walked out. I have a few pictures to illustrate, but stopped taking them as it became so depressing. This hotel is worse than a low level hostel, and for £291 for 2 nights is daylight robbery

The room was very tired, with curtains hanging off the rails and masses of cobwebs & patches on the walls and ceilings. The bathroom entrance had an old gridded ceiling with fibre panels that were dirty, stained, and falling to pieces. Aside from the disappointing room, the bar is good, as is the restaurant, and I cannot complain about the evening meal. I had fish and chips, which were very tasty. Breakfast is a buffet, and it was well laid out, with plenty of cooked, non-cooked food and plenty of drinks. If only the room was better, I'd have probably given 4 or possibly 5 stars.
