Really enjoyed my stay at Meci hotel. The location is ideal, a short 7-8 minute walk from the train station. The staff were welcoming, the reception area is really cute with shop selling local indigenous made products, free tea, coffee, snacks and ice cream. They also have bikes for rent. Close to shops and restaurants.

Really enjoyed our stay at Meci Hotel. Excellent location near the train station. Great breakfast place next door. Rooms very clean. Coffee and snacks available in the spacious lobby. They helped us organize an excellent driver for our day in Taroko gorge. Accommodated us as we travleee with a baby. Very responsive !

Here’s a refined version of your review: I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the location is very convenient, the overall experience was disappointing due to its messiness. The hotel is situated in a historic area near the railroad station, making it easy for travelers like me to commute. From here, I could easily visit My Market, the traditional market, and the Pacific Ocean Park.One of the highlights of this location is the free bike rental, which allowed me to explore the nearby trails, including the scenic Cheung trails. This added a lot of value to my trip and made getting around effortless. this hotel is an excellent choice due to its prime location and accessibility.

Great Budget Option, Friendly Staff, Good Location

Hotel chosen as a part of a brief visit to the city. Excellent option if arriving and leaving by train as across the road from the Train Station. On arrival staff helped with car hire, explained all services including free snacks and soft drinks. The room was fine and adequate for a short stay. The hotel provides good access to the main shopping areas in the city.

It’s more the standard of a hostel with private rooms than a hotel. Downstairs communal area is nice, with free ice lollies, tea and coffee. They do not do breakfast. Rooms are very cramped, particularly if you are a couple and not well designed; kept stubbing toes and tripping over the step to the bathroom. Shower was weird. Lights to room are by the bed, not by the door. No where really to put your bags, it’s so cramped. Also we asked them to make up the room, and all they did was empty the bins and add a few cups. Didn’t make it change the bed, towels, nor replace the tea. Not a great job. Staff were generally nice and helpful though. Would we stay there again? No.

Clean and comfortable stay

It’s convenient from the train station, about 5min walk. There’s a lot of eateries nearby. Hotel has free bicycle to borrow and cycle around the city. Room is very clean and cozy. But there was mosquito that flew in on the 2nd day. So was bitten by it.

Wonderful stay at Meci Hotel

The hotel is a 7-min walk from Hualien train station. Hotel room was a tad small but all the facilities were well-kept and organised. Love the amenities in and around the hotel. There is free flow snacks (biscuits, crackers and sweets) and drinks (coffee, tea, soft drinks and iced tea). Hish speed wifi in the lobby and room. Bicycles for rent free. Washing and drying of clothes at a fee. There is a breakfast shop just beside the hotel (closed on Sundays) and it is amazing! Other food options are very nearby too (Tasty steak next door and neighbourhood eateries near the train station). If you want to get a cab, Uber does not work in Hualien and Yilan, download 呼叫小黄 (find taxi) instead.

Ein schönes Hotel in zentraler Lage (zu Fuß vom Bahnhof in ca. 5 Minuten). Freundliches Personal, schöne Lobby, gute Zimmer. Highlights sind die Snacks und Kaffee in der Lobby, ein großer Raum mit TV, Switch und Kinderspielzeug im Keller sowie die Dachterrasse mit schönem Blick über die Stadt und auf die Berge.
