"The staff were particularly helpful and friendly from arrival to departure, helping us with several requests and questions throughout our stay. Really helpful and polite. It’s located close to the town of Hove and a short walk to the beautiful beach where we sat and enjoyed lunch. It’s an older property so don’t expect pish-button, modern technology. There were no hangers in our empty wardrobe but I’m sure the staff could’ve provided some if we’d asked. Our room was very warm and there’s obviously no air conditioning but a small fan would’ve been most welcome. Tea and coffee was provided in the room so we were grateful for that. No bath mat provided so be careful as you step out of the shower as the floor can be slippery. The rear of the property desperately needs a tidy as it looks unkempt and particularly run down, although we’d asked for a quiet room and appreciated it being located where it was. Overall, a pleasant stay in a nice area with the beach and shops nearby. Try the local butchers shop for snacks and pies, it’s absolutely lovely. It took us about 10 minutes to walk from Hove station to the hotel and not uphill at all, after which friendly, helpful staff took care of us. Thank you to each of them."

"Nice hotel but the car park was limited and a bit tight to access. Also operates on a first come, first served policy but they did allow patrons to park at the front of the building too. Very helpful, attentive and friendly staff from reception to the breakfast staff. Couldn’t do enough for us. Reception staff were very helpful with good local knowledge about buses etc. Bus stops directly outside the hotel which was handy and took us into the heart of the shopping centre from where you can easily find The Lanes and the seafront/pier etc. You can walk to local bars, pubs/restaurants in Hove easily or if you’re used to walking further then Brighton seafront are about an hours stroll. Easy enough to get the bus or an Uber/taxi back. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Great continental buffet choices as well as freshly cooked full English (vegetarian option also) Clean hotel in all areas, based over 5 floors with a huge convenient lift. We stayed in room 51 which had a large bathroom with walk in accessible shower. Water pressure was also very good. Whilst the room had a fan it was extra hot but that was expected during the freaky heatwave whilst we were there. We had a small balcony which was lovely and we just kept the door and window fully opened the whole time. The room cooled enough at night to get a proper nights sleep and the bed and bedding were very comfortable. Nice selection of tea/coffee and the complimentary toiletries were lovely too. Highly recommended."
