I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I stayed here for a work conference and did not have a good experience. The staff seemed overwhelmed and underprepared to take care of the guests. The elevators were broken on a repeated basis, and guests had trouble getting the elevators to stop on their floor.
The food is mediocre, and the prices are inflated for the area. Since you are not downtown, if you are here for a conference and have little time to leave, you are stuck with their "grab and go" food options. I paid $26.00 for a boxed salad and bag of chips. I understand having elevated prices in a hotel, but the food quality and the customer service did not match the prices.
The guest rooms feel old and outdated. Noise carries easily throughout the hotel and guest rooms, which makes it difficult to sleep. The gym did have nice treadmills, but the weight lifting equipment is old and should be replaced.
Overall, I was disappointed in my experience. I would select another hotel if you are staying in Houston.
