I knew going in that this wasn’t a top-rated hotel, so my expectations were reasonable. However, there are some basic issues that could easily be addressed to improve the guest experience and overall ratings.
During my stay, I found roaches in the room, the top of the fridge was dirty, and there was an exposed electrical outlet—serious safety concerns. The linens were worn out, the furniture was stained, and the door card reader was unreliable and often took multiple tries to work.
Small improvements and attention to detail would go a long way in making this place more comfortable and better reviewed. Cleanliness and basic maintenance shouldn’t be overlooked, no matter the hotel rating.
