Branston Park
Trent and Mersey Canal at Horninglow, Staffordshire The canal was open from Derwent Mouth to Shugborough by 1770. Completion of the whole route to Preston Brook near Runcorn took until 1777.

Trent and Mersey Canal approaching Horninglow, Staffordshire Although the canal took eleven years to build, and opened fully in 1777, the section through Burton-upon-Trent was ready and working by 1770. The National Cycle Network Route No 54 runs along the towpath here,(Stourport to Derby via Kidderminster, Dudley, and Lichfield and Burton).

Bridge No 32, Horninglow, Staffordshire Trent and Mersey Canal at Burton-on-Trent. The bridge carries Horninglow Road (A511).The remaining small area of Horninglow basin is just beyond the bridge.
