Loved the lanai and the ice machine right out my door. Every morning was spent sitting on the lanai drinking my coffee watching the surfers and the waves crash. Amazing views.

This is a friendly hotel. The staff was very congenial and the guests I met in the elevator were equally nice. The room I was in was a bit tired looking, but the decor was funky in a good way. It's a great location.

No instructions for check in were received. Apparently if you book the rooms with the terrace it's with a private owner. The deck closes at 10pm so you can't even enjoy it when you want. So the check in desk will refer you to call a number for instructions. The room itself was in very poor conditions. The bed mattresses look like they had mold on them, probably because the air conditioner leaks water if you don't pay attention to it (also no instructions received for this). The room is still hot because you can't leave the AC running all day. I had 3 nights booked could only endure 2 and had to check out earlier.

It an interesting stay the first room I got was perfect but my booking got messed up so we where placed in a last minute room which wasn’t good or safe at all the room my husband and newborn daughter where placed in had broken glass and wasn’t cleaned and wasn’t maintained at all. The second room they placed us in after geting a change was better. The manager was very helpful. I felt bad complaining but I wasn’t going to allow my daughter to get hurt in the room. My mom’s room was absolutely amazing clean beautiful decorated and felt homie. Our was a place to sleep at that point so we would sleep then go to our moms room to cook and hang out. Overall it wasn’t an awful experience as we got to be in Hawaii just disappointed in how much I spent cause it wasn’t worth what we got due to room conditions. My biggest complaint was House keeping didn’t come clean our room I contacted the manager and I had to go get my own stuff and take the dirty ones up to there storage room. Otherwise it wasn’t that bad

I've stayed previously at this "hotel" before. I learned from this experience, you need to make sure you're renting from a unit that is under the control and management of the local management group and not a remote 3rd party, which was the case this time. Basically, because we rented from a offsite management company, the local front desk and local staff would not provide any service or support. We arrived and had some questions and the front desk staff bascally handed you a small piece of paper with a phone number for you to call for help. That was it!! for the entire visit, the front desk staff basically ignored us and wouldn't even offer even so much as a simple greeting when we came in and out of the building. That was the first aspect. Secondly, the hotel is going through a remodel, so every floor look like a war zone and had construction people around every day. It would have been nice to known that going into this "vacation". Lastly, the room was dated and in disrepair. From a small tiny wall unit AC trying to cool off the entire space (which, it couldn't) to old, outdated and broken furniture. Our couch was missing a leg and being held up by a can of paint!! The bathroom was a disaster, the tub in disrepair and poorly stocked. We had to buy our own toilet paper and supplies, since the place wasn't stocked well. And I get it we were only there for 5 days, but it would have been nice to have someone check on us at least once during our stay. Stay Away!

Lots of issues. Ceiling in lobby had spaces open and pipes exposed. The hotel is doing on going work. Signs would be posted that water would be shut off and not able to use during certain hours and days. Down the hall from where I was staying abestos remediation was occurring. Not sure how many rooms has asbestos. Paper was placed on the floor covering carpet by end of stay. The room did not look like any of the photos on site. Said shampoo, conditioner, and soap in shower. Soap and conditioner was empty. One morning a roach came across the floor. Not sure where it came from if it was disturbed by all the work going on in the hotel. No balcony. Window blinds one didn’t go all the way down to cover window. No real plugs to use except on on counter behind coffee because all others behind bed and tv stand had items plugged in that were needed like lights and ac. You get what you pay for. It was cheaper but I wish I would have rented some place else.

I was charged a mandatory “cleaning” fee upon arrival which was not disclosed through Expedia. I was forced to pay 106 (supposedly was discounted from 160) to access my room and check in. I had a terrible process checking in over the phone it took about 40 minutes. I was tired from flying to the hotel and the staff was unable to assist me (not their fault at all) as I have to call to check in. I tried to call the hotel early to ask if I could check in early, only to find out they do not get phone calls, and I had to leave a message. The result? I got a vague text message that did not really answer my question. Overall, where the location of the hotel is nice, the staff were amazing, but the hotel was outdated and is not maintained very well. I found a ball of pet hair on my room floor, a dead moth carcass in the couch, the hot water BARELY worked & the metal on the shower was grimy. To our surprise there was construction going on so most of the days we had to hear loud noises, which was not very relaxing. Thanks to the staff that was the best part of it all, they were very welcoming and helpful.
