Incredible stay. Staff were courteous and polite and went out of their way to accommodate my everything I needed for some quite difficult logistical issues. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
A splendid country house in a hundred acre park. A magnificent kitchen garden which supplies the excellent dining room.
The accomodation was first class as was thefood
Stunning location and beautiful Hotel. The service is outstanding all staff very polite, but on a personal side as a woman, in the room we stayed there wasn’t a dressing table mirror and the lighting is very dull so It was difficult to do my make up and hair, the mirrors are on the walls but not close up.
Nice daily little treat in the cups of a tunic’s biscuits or teacake but on the third morning they seem to have forgot to put them in.
This is a really beautiful hotel. We were upgraded and really appreciated this. The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable all in all fabulous stay. However, we ate in the restaurant and found the food very underwhelming. It wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t fabulous, so we were a little disappointed.
The accessibility, location, house, restaurant and vegetable/fruit garden were excellent, and the internal and external staff were outstandingly pleasant, cheerful, polite and attentive.
Our room, upgraded for us without our so asking, was roomy and well-appointed, but rather dark and sombre, so it made the many inside steps rather difficult to see, slightly dangerous for anyone without perfect vision.
Overall, very much enjoyed.

room change from 1st Floor stables as stairs very steep with no hand rail, swarms of flies on inside windows and external cobbled yard uneven for walking ( My wife has Parkinsons ). Room change to Room 18 much better but poor internal lighting made reading paper very difficult.
Food good with generous portions.
