We were very pleased with our stay in the Halibut room. So much so that my husband says he wants to return next year when the weather is nicer and stay in the same room. That's saying a lot coming from him! I will recommend this place to all my friends who want to visit Homer.

Wonderful view of bay and comfortable chairs to sit and have a morning coffee. Beds were so comfy we had a hard time getting up in the morning! Had cow moose with two calves walking outside our room! We spent 4 comfortable nights with them and would do it again!

We visited Anchorage, Denali, Fairbanks, Valdese, Seward, and homer while in Alaska. The White House in was clearly the best hotel we have stayed in. It had a big bed, a large TV, an upgraded bathroom, a large refrigerator and freezer, a great coffee machine, and microwave oven. It also had a hot tub that you could sit in and overlook The sound. We didn’t use it, but it would’ve been lovely! There are some great local restaurants that we ate at. AJ’s and the fresh cat Café were probably the best. It was nice waking up every morning to the sound of sandhill cranes, and seeing some local moose as we drove around. The manager jackie was outstanding. If I come back to Alaska again, I will come straight to Homer and stay in the White House in.

Wow! What a great property! We loved the views from the lawn, and sipping wine or coffee from the Adirondack chairs while gazing at the ocean and beautiful vistas. Small, but clean and comfortable room with everything we needed. Loved how close to the spit it was. Would love to come back!

Nice but pricey.

Nice, we’ll appointed room although it was small. The property has a nice view across the bay although we did not have a view from our room. There is no management on site and no maid service. The price is high for what you get but that seems to be the norm in Alaska.

The location was outstanding with gorgeous views and easy access to the beach. When the hot water system went out, Jackie (property manager) was on it immediately and got it reset for us. She saved the day!!!

Fabulous view!

We appreciate the cleanliness of the room and property- the room has a great view and it is situated in a quiet area with easy access to the town, beach, and spit. The beds were very comfortable. However, the two beds/frames in this room were very creaky- any time you moved, it was pretty loud.

It was a cozy, homey suite. They provided extra little touches, like the beverage amenities, and comfy chairs. The beautiful setting, overlooking the bay, with lawn chairs to sit in and soak in the quietness and beauty made it a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Very comfortable with a great view

This is a very comfortable upstairs room. Décor was nicely done, and locations was fine. Very nice view of the bay and surrounding mountains. Close to the Homer Spit, a few minutes drive to the main part of town.
