We stayed here two years previous. The location of the property and the hotel itself are excellent. We also found the food excellent (better than last time). However, the service was poor - they felt understaffed and even non busy mealtimes seemed a strain on resources. Not very efficient… The hotel could be excellent, but just felt lacking on this occasion.

From the moment we walked into reception we felt valued and treated as if we were a valued customer. Keith checked us in took us to our room explained where everything was including fresh milk in the fridge for your morning coffee or tea in your room and home made cookies, and how to get to the spa and pool. He was also the one we asked about other things to do in the area and he was always happy to help look up or suggest things. I cannot remember when I have had such a warm welcome at reception and really from everyone we interacted with nothing was felt to be a problem. The restaurant staff were lovely and the food local and very high quality. The dinner menu is limited so I do think they should include some specials so there is more variety if you are dinning for more than a few days.

Great property, well maintained with, great staff who could not be more helpful. Only area of potential improvement was to have access to staff outside the 9-5 timeframe, for an upper level boutique hotel would expect some access 24/7.

Beautiful small hotel with courtyard garden, spa & pool (which we didn’t make use of as the weather was stunning and we wanted to explore the area) the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful with booking taxis to local restaurants etc.

Another really good stay at The Harper. First class service from all the staff where nothing was too much trouble. Private use of the pool works really well and they have clearly thought about everything. The food options are very good and breakfast is excellent. Parking is also ample which is not always the case in North Norfolk and takes the stress out of the holiday especially if you are traveling with children.

Visited the Harper for my anniversary and found the whole experience very enjoyable. The room was large and comfortable, the staff were friendly and accommodating & the amenities and cleansiness of the hotel were both of a high standard. I would recommend if you are considering.

Friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble they were very accommodating, lovely well kept hotel with plenty of character. We had the beef tenderloin in the restaurant and it was sublime, lots of nice lounging areas and a beautiful little courtyard area as well. We enjoyed the complimentary private use of the spa and opted to have back massages which was so relaxing. Overall experience was 10/10

100/10 - Amazing place & staff.

This place is truly amazing. From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The hotel is beautifully appointed with some very eclectic touches of funriture and decoration. The staff deliver superb service. They even made a big fuss of Dizzi our Staffy. The food was amazing. I'de definitely recommend the venison. We will definitely be back and soon.

Was slighty disappointed that the evening meal menu was limited. Would of also been nice to know you had to book the swimming pool for a half hour slot. Saw nothing on that on the website. Lockers in changing roo. Could do with amd update and maybe some mats on the floor coming out of the shower, was worried about slipping on the floor. But the service was good and friendly. Lovy touches in the room like a free cookie and complementary drinks. Love the furniture old stuff re vamped into tables and useful objects. Do think it is a bit overpriced for the rooms. But would stay again.
