If you are traveling on a budget, this is a winner! Very clean, nice pool and hot tub area. Patio with nice seating and a grill and the breakfast was really good. Cannot expect much more from a place for that price! Would certainly stay again.

When I called front desk Tuesday night she would not help even though I was a rewards member, told me to use hotel.com or Expedia which I used Expedia & went through fine.but could not get my rewards for best western, the lady at the front desk in the morning didn’t care. She was a bit arrogant. We arrived after midnight was first told room came up dirty then it only needed a blanket , bed was not fully made. The man did try to help by checking the room. He said It looked ok, couldn’t take a shower because shower head was broken & hanging down. Did ask for a different room. He said he couldn’t. We were very disappointed. The best western in Marquette was 100% better.

This hotel from beginning to end is horrible. 35-40mins to check in. Dirty rooms- mold; have used toiletries; fresh stains in floor and bedding! Ceiling had toothpaste; microwave dirty. Sooo sooo gross!

Location is great, but the property itself is dirty and run down. I wouldn’t stay here again. There were nails in the shower. The floor was weirdly damp, not only in our room, but our friends room. Our room was 60 degrees when we walked in. Walls are pretty thin too. It’s get the job done I guess. Hunter at the front desk was a great help when we had to check in pretty late at night. He deserves a raise.

Planned a little get-away for our 10th anniversary. We decided to bring our dog. Requested and paid for a I king bed suite. Room enough to set up our travel dog crate. Upon check-in the clerk had a problem finding our reservation, then when we got to our room it was 2 queen beds NOT what I paid for. Clerk blamed Expedia for the screw up. We were stuck with 2 queens. No other rooms were available, of course. Same price too. Stayed 2 nights had to ask for towels both nights. Room was never cleaned. When we left our room and came back later our room keys did not work. Ice machine down the hall was out of service. The so-called breakfast buffet was a joke. Choices were Dry cereal, toast, apple or waffles. No eggs, bacon, pastries. Only way to get into the building was through the front doors. None of the exits allowed re-entry. Very inconvenient. All in all, not a pleasant experience. For the amount of money I spent I expected better. I will not recommend White Pines Inn and resorts to any of my friends or relatives.

The room was clean and offered expected amenities. The staff were nice and helpful with all our needs. It is worth noting that check in took a lot longer than I expected. Also we did have to ask for both towels and toilet paper as there were none in our room. The included breakfast was pretty disappointing and only offered for a short time. We stayed two days and didn’t even attempt to go to breakfast the second day. While my rate as very affordable and I enjoyed my stay over all there wasn’t anything amazing about the hotel either.

I am not one to write reviews whether I had a good or bad experience but my visit at this hotel needs to be heard. Our key cards did not work half the time. One night I had to walk to the front desk 4 times because we could not get in our room. Staff at the front kept saying our phones were deactivating the cards or the card themselves were deactivating each other, never heard that before. Another night, the man at the front told me the door battery is dying but he doesn’t know where the tool is to fix it. Oh okay, that’s cool. One light in the bathroom was not working. We did not have hand towels, tissues or toiletries. The carpet felt disgusting barefoot. The paint on the walls were chipped. There were nails sticking out of the walls. The ice machine was not working. We had a handicap room and every time we showered, the bathroom floor flooded - holy fall hazard. On our last night, I was adjusting the shower head when taking a shower and the entire head (hardware included) came crashing down. The hardware that was still attached to the wall was hanging by a thread, mold underneath it. I spoke to the front desk - all he said was he’ll let maintenance know. I messaged the hotel explaining our experience, no response yet. With how much they charge a night, I couldn’t believe they didn’t offer a full or even partial refund. Charging nearly $200 a night, a shower head should not be falling on me.

The room that we stayed in was nonsmoking but smelled of smoke. The bathroom needed some major work, and there was a crack in the ceiling in which water was dripping slowly, then a steady stream throughout the night. My dog refused to go to sleep since he was so anxious. There was also a light that when turned off, had a dull strobe to it. The front desk staff said they could consider a refund, but did not. This was the worst hotel experience I have had in a long time.

The property is in need of a major upgrade. Our room smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. The jacuzzi didn’t work at all. The room was kind of dirty. The door to the bathroom had a hole in it from what looked like someone punched it. The bathroom had mold on the wall next to the broken jacuzzi. The bed was hard and sunken in.
