"The Hotel was very busy due to many events going on in Virginia Beach. At first I was mistakenly sent to a room that was already occupied. This was quickly, politely and professionally rectified and I was given a different room which turned out to be more convenient for me. Directly across from elevators and on a level with parking where I could easily walk to my car. Having a mini-fridge and microwave is always a plus. The best feature for me, though was having that sweet little balcony facing the ocean. What a tremendous stress reliever! I hope to return to Sandcastle Resort and will recommend it to others. One little request, though: Could you please provide tea bags in the rooms and at the Continental Breakfast for those of us who do not drink coffee? Thank you!"

"We had a good rest. The service staff was polite. Breakfast was as usual, a bit monotonous. In the room stood a chair crooked on one leg. My husband had to put something down to sit and drink coffee. But these are little things. Overall we had a good stay. And we are thinking of returning one more time."

"Great stay at Coastal Hotel & Suites in Virginia Beach. Suite fine for 4 Adults (2 king beds separated by bath & hallway). Fantastic sunset from balcony over beach, more seating for balcony would be good. Bathroom a bit worn and could have used more soap or some shower gel. Hot tub, pool and breakfast were fine and location was right in the center of things, so ideal for walking around. Overall great and I'd stay there again."

"Our room was clean and comfortable. However, the toilet paper holder was coming off the wall, and the roll in shower flooded the bathroom. Also, the carpet in the hallway was worn and dirty. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed our stay."

"The tv was either broken or very cheap. It was too small for the room and sounded like tin cans connected with string. The room was pretty clean but definitely worn down. MDF furniture had missing chunks, the paint job in the room and hallways looked like “landlord special” (painted over hardware, etc) and it smelled a little musty-don’t know why any beach hotel would still use carpet. Curtains were dirty at the bottom and broken at the top. Water pressure in yhe shower was a trickle and the toilet struggled to flush. I wouldn’t #2 in there lol The AC was amazing though! View was spectacular. If you’re on a budget, it’s fine if you’re able to spend two or 300 extra I would look elsewhere."
