Nice guesthouse. Second floor room. Had everything we needed. Shared showers and bathrooms were never busy. Restaurants and walkable bays nearby. Parking in front. Quiet and restful night despite lots of guests coming ang going.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly alrhough spoke limited English. The kitchen had all the utensils and pots and pans for all the residents of the house. The parking seemed to be sufficient for all the guests.

Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Beautiful location but not near town. Drive to Dragon Rock and around the Peninsula was one of the highlights of our trip. It is a gravel road but amazing views and worth it if you want a ”road less travelled”.

Guesthouse was noisy (don’t put kettle/coffeee outside places where people sleep, keep everything in kitchen), I had to dig out new rolls of toilet paper from a cupboard because staff weren’t making regular rounds (never saw staff anyway with contactless check in and the roll wasn’t fixed by the next morning so no one was checking) and our bed was in the middle of the room because it didn’t fit the right way. Clean and good location, but not ideal. (And we stayed in a huge variety of places and guesthouses across our two weeks in IS). Pro-tip also:, don’t get the fish and chips next door at the pub, it was frozen and we felt ripped off).

Adequate accommodation. Convenient for restaurants and green space with views. Paper thin walls and noisy doors made for some disturbance. Small light not working in room. Shower rooms poorly designed and near impossible not to get clothes wet. Slippers/flip flops needed Kitchen had all the basics. Only used for breakfast

The place was a bit misleading, no where on my booking says shared bathroom. my room supposed to have sea and garden view but instead i am looking at a wall through the window. the insulation is terrible as you hear everything in what’s going on in the shared bathroom across our room. of course, when you book the place, expedia showed a super nice view of whatever room of the place. there’s supposed to be in room fridge and microwave but both are in common area. i’m glad i only stayed one night.

Liked the contact less check in. Did not realize that I booked a shared bathroom, as this was not made clear in the listing. You need to select the 'More details' tab to see that it is a shared bathroom accommodation. Full kitchen is in the lower half of the guest house, so if staying upstairs, you need to go outside to get to the full kitchen.

We stayed mid-September. The location of this guesthouse was great in Höfn. Unfortunately, we didn’t love this place. We never received our entry code or instructions on day of check-in. We didn’t have a data plan for phone calls so I messaged a number of times throughout our arrival day on Expedia and emailed early in the day. I did not receive any response and there is no one on site. Another couple arrived who also didn’t get any instructions. I was able to use their phone and eventually spoke with someone who provided the entry codes. There was no apology and just a comment that there was an error through Expedia. There was never any follow-up with us to ensure that we had got settled in. There are two toilets for 4 rooms. And the kitchen area serves 8+ rooms so it can be a bit overwhelming to try and get food prepared. It was an okay stay.

A very good place to stay in Höfn. Close to the harbor, so you could have a good view of the sea. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped.

We had an issue with adding a payment to a reservation and we were met after hours at the door by the property owner. After finding out that we may not be incredibly comfortable with a shared bathroom, she offered an upstairs private apartment that slept our whole party. Great customer service and very kind lady. We were thankful for her generosity and flexibility!

Had a great stay in the guesthouse. I was on main floor and found it was very quiet even though most of the rooms were occupied. Called ahead to get my room number and the key was in the door when I arrived which was great! There is a shared bathroom but I never had to wait to use it, and it was very clean. The shared kitchen had everything needed to make dinner, they even supplied basics like tea/coffee/spices etc. and plenty of seating. The room was quite large and very comfortable. Would stay here again!

It was fine. It was convenient to restaurants in town. They were doing construction on it but that was ok. The bedroom and bathroom was clean. Shower was fine. Room was a bit small for two twin beds--they could not really be separated so it was like sleeping in the same bed. They were supposed to contact me the day before with check in instructions, but I didnt get any info and was a bit worried till I reached someone by phone. Once there, the check in was fine.

This was a self check-in, where there was a post-it with our name and room number. Everything was clean and nice, my only nit-pick is on the kitchen, they only had 2 stove rings, and they were 4 different groups in the tiny kitchen, so we had to wait a while to start cooking.

Insufficient bathroom and kitchen capacity

Not what we expected. Too many people sharing bathroom, toilet and kitchen. Kitchen only had 2 cooking rings for 10 rooms. Only one toilet and bathroom for 4 rooms on ground floor. Upstairs rooms had to come out of building to get to ground floor to use kitchen. Room smelt of stale fish due to proximity of harbour...not hotels fault to be fair. Tap in room sink dripped all the time. Poor sound insulation. However easy to find, warm and comfy bed. Hotel in much worse vondition than photos on website show. Kind and helpful staff though think they are not based on site. Parking outside was plentiful.
