An amazing place

Isilimela is an Amazing place. The place itself at Balule Parson reserve is fabulous, the surroundings are serene and the views from the lodge spectacular. The owners Maikel and Wanda, and the staff are excellent and cater to your every need and much more. After every game drive or a visit outside, you are greeted by staff at the gate wth wet towels and a drink to refresh you. The food is delicios gourmet with multiple courses at breakfat and at dinner. At our request they did a braai which was fabulous.the chef Clarence and Nkatedo conjoured up excellent meals accordig to our liking. Every dinner was outside with warm fire and heating lamps making it a truly fabulous outdoor experience. The game drives with Sipho were exciting and educational with plenty of animals. We saw lots of impala, kudu, hippos, elephants and also apair of leopards and one lion at the reserve itself. Donald was our perfectcare taker and was there tomake us comfortableand enjoy every moment. We thoroughly enjoyed and couldnot ask for a better place, I wold give it a 6 out of 5 rating if I could.

Fabelhafte und gut gelegene Lodge

Die Isilimela Game Lodge ist sehr gut in der Nähe des Krüger Parks gelegen und gehört zum Greater Krüger National Park Zusammenschluss. Dadurch bekommt man schon bei der Anfahrt vom Gate zur Lodge (11 km Schotterpiste, mit einem kleinen Auto machbar, wenn man langsam fährt) einige Tiere zu sehen. Bei den von der Lodge organisierten Game Drives, welche von sehr kompetenten und motivierten Guides durchgeführt werden, konnten wir sogar einen Löwen und einen Leoparden sichten. Marike und Bas leiten die Lodge nach allen Regeln der Kunst. Man fühlt sich fast so, als würde man alte Freunde besuchen, die Gastfreundschaft war einfach einzigartig. Alles ist von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise bestens organisiert, die Bungalows sind sehr gut ausgestattet und überdurchschnittlich sauber und das Essen (wir hatten Abendessen und Frühstück) ist fabelhaft. Leider hatten wir nur 1 Nacht zur Verfügung, wir hätten diesen Rundum-Service gerne noch länger genossen.

A truly amazing place!

We had an amazing stay and didn't want to leave, the location is perfect and there is plenty to do in the area. The owners are very welcoming and provide great hospitality. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area and you will be able to go on private game drives to see the big 5 in the Parsons Baule reserve where the lodge is located or you can stay in your room as the animals will walk up to the perimeter fence to make an unforgettable experience.

Tolle familiäre Lodge inmitten der Natur

Schon bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von drei Löwen begrüßt, die unseren Weg zur Lodge kreuzten. Dort angekommen wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen. Unser Cottage mit zwei Schlafzimmern hatte alles was man benötigt und war sehr sauber. Marike und Bas, sowie alle Angestellten der Lodge haben sich immer sehr um uns bemüht und uns einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt im und um den Krüger Park beschert. Auch das Essen war jeden Tag ein Highlight, mit Lebensmitteln aus der Umgebung immer frisch zubereitet, sehr gut! Wir würden mit unseren zwei Kindern immer wieder kommen.

Traumhafte Lodge

Schöne private Lodge im Balule Parsons Park mitten den Big 5 mit einem Wasserloch an dem täglich unter anderen Giraffen zu sehen sind. Das Gelände ist mittlerweile ein Teil des Kruger NP in dem sich die Tiere grenzenlos bewegen können. Sogar Löwen haben wir hier gesehen. Sehr nette Gastgeber mit eimem sehr guten Essen und modern eingerichteten Chalet. Wir verbrachten hier wundervolle zwei Nächte.

Truly a hidden gem

First we booked just 2 nights at Isilimela Game Lodge, but as soon as we arrived (after about 30 min on gravel road) we decided to extend for another night. This is truly a quite and peaceful hidden gem! Marike and Bas are such lovely and good hearted hosts, it felt like we know each other from long time ago. The rooms are very well equipped, exceptionally clean and offers endless views, especially on the game viewing deck. If you are looking for a perfect, tranquil, friendly, and affordable stay, we definitely recommend Isilimela.
