It was comfortable and convenient and ticked all the basic boxes. The ONLY irritation we had was appearance of a noisy belligerent guest after midnight one night. This was not the fault of the hotel of course.

Spacious, easy check-in check-out, free parking, convenient location for aquatic centre, priced ok for what it was
Hey guys you have to hit up the Carlyle hotel. Really great place.. i just slept in the most comfy king sized bed last night so good. And the staff wow.. Kas behind the bar was so friendly and helpful with my whole experience.
The rooms are very clean and spacious compared to many other places around Hobart, especially for this price. It’s quiet, private, safe and comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and free parking is a bonus for a solo traveler like myself.
Spacious room and everything worked. Good security with separate key entry to accomodation section. Plenty of free parking. Good value senior meals at the bistro.
At first, I was unsure as the room was above a bar. However, our apartment was incredibly spacious and clean. The beds were incredible and the kitchen well equipped.
We had lunch at the bar below and the food was great.

Stayed for 11 nights. Comfy enough bed, loved the shower. Housekeeping remaking my room each day was good. Was notified about a power outage and got a voucher for the bistro. won't say no to a free meal although my meal order got lost and was a bit of a wait, staff was really friendly and apologetic and compensated with more free food and drinks
Couple of Women who were noisy all hours in the morning and the smell of Marijuana coming from there room wasnt a very pleasant stay. Other than that the rooms were clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable.

The rooms are very small and the bathrooms are tiny so the vanity is in the bedroom. The shower hot water only worked after running the hot water in the vanity. The door lock is a snib on the handle with no chain for security. The walls are thin so you can hear people's conversation in their rooms from down the hall. There is no lift but only a few stairs. The bed was very comfortable & the air con worked great
yes room staff where great some of the bar staff need to morefriendly

Rooms are very old and exceptionally dated. Looks nothing like photos on sites. No lifts to rooms, long and initially very dark passage way locked behind a door to rooms and it was quite daunting to be honest. Rooms sit above a hotel. Food at restaurant was very average, no room service and no tray to help me get food up to my room. Lovely young girl called Belinda was the only one who offered to help and did so - she was the saving grace for this stay to be honest and man behind bar who made me a take away coffee day 1. I contemplated cancelling my second night but didnt. The stairs leading to rooms were very grotty and not a great start. Rooms were actually very clean and bed was comfortable. Hated the shower with its shower curtain and stainless steel base
. No powerpoints next to bed and curtains were no match for the beaming sun that lit up the room. Check in was ok. Overall an average stay.
Room was old and dated. We had a vanity next to the bed outside the main bathroom. Had and old tub and toilet with a shower curtain with signs of mould in some sections. Also exhaust fan outside our window, wasnt easy to sleep at night. Not a place we will stay again.
