My husband and myself were very satisfied. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed. Our guest in the other room was very unhappy and should have asked for another room. The bathroom was up an internal flight of stairs ( not ideal at 80+) and the shower, which had no door, had no curtain so he felt unable to shower.

Parking was good. The hotel was very tired and quite dusty/cobwebs. The room we booked for 4 didn’t hve 4 beds so we were moved to a bigger room. Staff were helpful when checking in but no reception etc so seems rather strange.

The biggest problem was the unpleasant bad drains smell which we encountered as we walked into the building, along the corridor, up the stairs and into the bedroom. I turned the tv on and found the screen was smashed and so only 2/3 of the screen was visible. We spent only a few minutes in the room, in the evening, as we were with friends, who were staying else where. We returned to our room, to quickly change a shirt, before heading off for the rest of the evening, at a party. We returned to our room at 11.30pm, the bad drain smell was still present. It did effect the quality of our sleep and as soon as we woke we left the building, as the smell in our bedroom was horrible! The actual cleanliness of the room seemed very adequate, however the awful smell of the drains was dominate! We were extremely disappointed, the awful smell shortened the time we stayed in our room. We decided not to use the shower, which seemed very adequate, escaping the smell was paramount on our minds! Given the situation I have described it would seem reasonable for me to be compensated for our stay. I would not recommend the hotel to other people, the bad drain smell desperately needs sorting out!

The room was absolutely lovely, but hard to find a member of staff when you need one due to checking taking place via the burrito place next door. Breakfast, for the price, had a completely insufficient vegetarian offering.
