Hotel Hippocampus

"Don’t look any further. This hotel was spectacular. We had an unfortunate Air BNB experience and had to leave after one night. We had plans at 9 am and lots of luggage. We booked with Hotel Hippocampus and they allowed us to leave our bags that morning until we could formally check in. Our room was spacious, beds were comfortable, TV had access to our apps at home and the location in Old Town was unbeatable. Staff were lovely and the included breakfast was delicious. I will say that the website warning regarding music being played at until late at night was correct. We had ear plugs and a sound machine and could still slightly hear the music, but slept soundly and wouldn’t stop us from staying here again!"

"The hotel, the views and the staff were absolutely lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with a lot of option for everyone. We had a great dinner at the Chinese restaurant in the hotel. I will recommend this hotel."

"Good place, a bit outside of downtown away from the beach. About a 30 minute walk to where you want to go. This means parking in the garage was free, a huge plus! It has a pool and good prices. Check in was confusing. There was someone there who didn’t speak enough English to tell me what was going on so I was left just standing there for over 15 minutes until someone else arrived to check me in. The WiFi in the room I had was unuseablely slow. There was some awful smell coming from under the sink that I didn’t care to investigate. The two outlets next to the bed also did not work."
