「Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened. We were greeted by a man in a hurry, brusquely telling us over his shoulder whilst rushing around doing...

「Everything about this charming countryside retreat was what we hoped for and more. The staff was a welcoming and alsways there to help. The food was delicious and better than we expected. 「Ancient coaching inn, much extended and modified, so many awkward staircases to negotiate, but that's all part of the historic charm of British pub hotels! Excellent car parking - plenty of easy space. Standard "chain pub" food: clean, fresh, hot and cheerfully served, but not inspired or inspiring. Greene King do, however, know how to brew and serve a proper beer, so overall "satisfactory plus".」
