The Social Hub San Sebastián

"We had a wonderful time at The Social Hub in San Sebastian. It was a little out-of-the-way but right next to the bus station, which was a 15 minute ride to old town and the beach. We ate at the restaurant several times out of convenience, and each time the food was very good. We ate a couple breakfast there and a couple of dinners. The staff was extremely helpful in navigating the city and in helping us get to the bus for our next part of the trip to Bilbao. The pool had towels and felt like it was heated. We use the gym almost every day and it was full of all the equipment we needed. Sadly, we did not take advantage of the ping-pong tables, but they seemed fun and we saw lots of people playing. They have a fully stocked communal kitchen, and we also cooked a couple of meals there. The grocery store is right next to the hotel as well which made it so easy. A great stay here! I would highly recommend this place."

"Ok location (15 min walk to Old Town). Hotel was very modern and clean. Room was comfortable. Layout works for a couple (not a lot of separation between bathroom area and bedroom). In an older residential area so views from the room were mid. Parking garage was tight. Had to park in city deck first night (€29) because hotel garage was full."

"Hotel was very convenient whilst attending the European Rugby Finals and exploring Bilbao. Rooms were perfectly adequate for our needs though the configuration of the bathroom area was slightly unusual! Breakfast on our first morning was very basic so we ate elsewhere after that (Definitely recommend the nearby Bramar). Staff attitudes were quite mixed!"

"A really reallly nice hostel, each bed had its own lights and outlets. The cafe/lounge is very nice and breakfast is worth the 8 euro. Only downside is that noise travels quite easily through the building and there was a large group of teenagers having quite a lot of fun late into the night lol. Otherwise a great stay, staff are knowledgeable about the area and gave some good recommendations on pintxos. Also if you end up using the laundry... leave your clothes in the dryer for at least 2 hours"
