Perfect accomodation for the price and easy to find. Supernice and friendly host with charming Olle-dog. Spacious for four people. Quiet, comfortable beds. Nothing to complain about.

Overnight stay when travelling from NO to FI

We stayed in the Old Post Office for 1-night when travelling from Norway to Finland. The location of the place is great, especially given that there are not a lot of other options available within the area. The pricing is extremely reasonable. However, I must provide critique of the fact that it was not possible to lock the door from the inside as the host left a note saying it is broken and should not be locked. There were no instructions on whether we should lock it from the outside (and then how to get back inside?) or if we should just leave the door unlocked. Unfortunately we arrived so late that we didn’t think there was a chance to get a response from the host anymore during those hours. We did the latter, and couldn’t really sleep through the night being on an alert mode in case someone would come in. I saw there had been a similar critique left in June ’23, so I would highly recommend having a temporary fix to the lock in case the problem requires more time to get fixed.

Hjemmekoselig liten leilighet. Ikke den beste standarden, men helt ok til den prisen. Hadde det viktigste som dusj og toalett. Og ikke minst rolige omgivelser. Trivelig vert og Olli. Kommer gjerne tilbake.

Die Unterkunft bietet, zu einem für die Region verhältnismässig tiefen Preis, alles, was für das selbstständige Wohnen benötigt wird. Jolanda ist eine fürsorgliche Gastgeberin, die individuell auf die Bedürfnisse der Gäste eingeht und Ausflüge oder Aktivitäten wie Sauna, Langlauf etc. organisiert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Was man wissen muss, ist dass es sich um einen relativ neuen Betrieb handelt, der sich noch im Aufbau befindet. Die Infrastruktur ist vollständig vorhanden und funktionsfähig, jedoch tw behelfsmässig. Wir hatten kein Problem damit, es wird ehrlich auf den Bildern vermarktet und im Voraus kommuniziert. Für den Abwasch steht eine 'mobile Einheit' zur Verfügung, da es in der Küche (noch) kein Waschbecken gibt. Um in die Dusche zu gelangen, muss man in die Hauptwohnung eintreten und gleich die erste Tür in den Keller runter. Der Durchgang ist diskret und nicht einsehbar. Warum es sich trotzdem lohnt? Der Preis, die 2 Läupen vor der Tür, Jolandas Organisationstalent und Gastfreundschaft. Aus diesem Grund gibt es BESTNOTE, trotz Abstrichen in der Infrastruktur. Wir empfehlen Jolandas Webseite zu besuchen, da diese viele wertvolle Informationen beinhaltet, was man mitnehmen und beachten soll.
