「What a wonderful place to stay! We were delayed in our travels and arrived after the kitchen had closed. The staff were very kind and accommodating and made us a lovely dinner. The food was exceptional! Additionally our room was terrific with a great shower. We will definitely return to do some hill walking nearby. Only wish we had stayed longer!」

「Lovely hotel / pub in a very scenic location. Beautiful views. We had 2 cottages for our extended family group of 7 adults/ 4 children. Spent the afternoon enjoying the patio drinks and watching the water flow. Had a delicious Sunday dinner in the lovely upper dining room. Beds were comfortable and had everything we needed . Would definitely stay again .」

「I can't fault a stay at the Assheton Arms. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food is great, the location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable.」

「Didn’t like having the risk of leaving the key in the separate though private bathroom. No staff available. Though we didn’t use the Lounge or cutlery/ crockery the amenities nay well be useful for others. Place ok for a budget stay. Area was beautiful」

「Right on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales sets an idyllic location for this friendly pub/ hotel. Very friendly welcome with exceptional hospitality. The room was clean and of a good size, a very comfortable stay and the staff could not be more helpful. This property is also very pet friendly. Highly recommended 」
