"We had an amazing stay at Viking Village resort! It is an absolute hidden gem and truly felt like a fairytale escape.
The cozy wooden houses are free-standing, which gives you excellent privacy, making them perfect for either a family trip or a solo getaway. I was so pleasantly surprised to find a fully equipped kitchen inside.
The entire area is incredibly quiet with absolutely no outside noise—just total peace. On the premises, they have a great fireplace setup and the most amazing, cute goats!
My only regret is that we only stayed for one night. We are already hoping to come back for a longer stay next time. It is absolutely worth the drive!"
"Fun and comfortable place to stay. Bed was great. Staff was great. Restaurant was amazing. HVAC and pool are hopefully next in line for renovation.
Wonderful Reno."
"The staff was a husband & wife ownership. They were very nice. The wife was helpful giving us recommendations on where to go. They were accommodating placing a bigger refrigerator in our room for all our perishables.
The only drawbacks was the pool was out of commission on the hottest weekend of the summer, Due to the rain. The bathroom was big but only had 1 hook to hang a towel on. There was no storage to place clothes on while taking a shower or getting dressed only back of toilet or floor. The sink had no space for toiletries only small area underneath. I’d suggest some shelving as there was a lot of unused space. A few shelves, hooks or a cabinet would be great. Over all not bad. Close to a few restaurants and downtown."
"I love this place. It's really special.
Some people to preserve what was special and exciting and authentic about a historic space and these are my people.
They have the amenities you need (great bed and linens, refridgerator, microwave, good towels). They have the amenities you don't need but love! (record players in all rooms and throughout the hotel and vintage vinyl readily available, cucumber water in the lobby, a coffe and tea station in the lobby, a postcard writing station, easy access to a movie theater).
This won't be everybodies cup of tea. What used to be luxury amenities are preserved a curiousities, the halls feel like a dorm, and brattleboro is on a downturn.
But Brattleboro is also really beauitful, with some lovely restaurants and arts venues.
And I love everything about it.
If you stay - make sure to stay see a movie. It's gorgeous in there.
Turkish breakfast at Tulip in amazing. Shim La's really good. check out the river. Stone Church is a fun venue. And Ther'es a lot to see and love in brattleboro. Also Go to chesterfield and check out madame sherri's castle and the gorge. Enjoy!"
"What a surprise! The Inn at Crumpin Fox was just perfect. The room was clean, bright, and comfortable. Breakfast was just right with a nice variety of items. We came down from Northern Vermont for a July 4th party at my Cousin's house, which we found out was just a mile away. And right off I-91 which is what we needed to get home. Stayed 2 nights and will definitely stay there again for next year's party. And try their restaurant at the golf course just a short drive away. The ambience and food was amazing!"
"A lovely stay at the White House Inn. Set above the bustling town with amazing views. I felt so at home with the friendly and knowledgable staff. I would go out of my way to stay here again. As a solo traveler I felt safe and well taken care of. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and pastries. My room was updated, clean, and spacious. It was also very quiet and faced a beautiful garden overlook. If you are planning a visit to Wilmington or just passing through, you must stay here, and the bakery a stones throw away is so amazing!"
