Moorland House, Haytor. The HF holiday country house was where Agatha Christie stayed and wrote her first book in 1916, "The Mysterious Affair at Styles". It is situated on Dartmoor very close to Haytor Rocks

Field by the Templar Way A tree by the gate from this was taken casts its shadow across this field. The unnamed wood on the right, which straddles a northing gridline, contains the source of a small stream which feeds into a leat in Bovey Tracey. The buildings, at Five Wyches Farm, are in SX8078, and the distant hill is at Shaptor.
