「The house was in a good location. Only street parking is available, but it was convenient and there was always space. The house is definitely “antique”, but everything worked; water flowed, toilet flushed, lights came on, etc. Wood floors squeeked throughout the house. 「Not really sure how this place had an 8.6 rating. Our room smelled like urine and old lady perfume. The pull out sofa had a mattress cover that was visibly dirty. My daughter picked up her backpack off the floor and a cockroach fell off it. We got down to the continental breakfast at 7am, there was 3 muffins, a few pieces of bacon, and some breakfast potatoes that my daughter threw up shortly after. 「Evening staff was wonderful and impressively bilingual. Breakfast was good. Room on the older side with a loud a/c but nicely cool. Other guests were quite loud.」

Staff was very helpful, but seemed to treat us with a little less respect because we used "a third party" to make the reservation. Breakfast was OK. Overall, it'll do in a pinch, but there are lots of options in Hays and we will try those before giving this propery another chance.」
