A perfect stay in a beautiful B&B
We travel a lot as a couple, and I also travel extensively with work. I have never felt so at home, so quickly, as at High Blean B&B.
The location is certainly remote, but that is what we wanted. It’s a lovely traditional Dales type cottage with stunning views of Semer Water. The room, whilst being the smaller of the two, was plenty big enough, with lots of space. The best thing about the room, aside from the view, is how thoughtfully it has been prepared. From top quality bedding to a large drawer full of different types of tea and coffee, even the consideration of providing small bedside torches rather than having to turn a light on in the middle of the night (it gets very, very dark), Suzanne and Dave appear to have thought of everything.
The breakfast was outstanding- you may not need lunch - and Suzanne and Dave are so friendly - you really do feel like a guest in their home. They even asked if we wanted to come through to their dining room to watch a red squirrel feed in their garden.
We will certainly be going back next year.
