The first thing I saw when I opened the bathroom was a fat black fly on the toilet. It was an awful first impression and immediately made me question the cleanliness and upkeep of the room. A guest should be able to walk into a bathroom and feel that it is clean and sanitary, but that was not my experience. The fact that this happened before summer made it even more concerning and left me with little confidence in the property’s standards.

This place was super lovely, very accessible, clean, bright, and comfortable. I would stay here every time I came to Harrisonburg. Highly recommend! Amazing value for the price!

The place was okay, it was loud, people were loud, banging above us, doors were slamming, and the morning breakfast was scarce compared to other places and stays we have had. The pictures looked nicer online than the quality in person. We will be not staying there again.

The hotel staff were generally polite and not unpleasant, but the overall service could be improved. At check-in, I was left waiting for several minutes before anyone assisted me, which made the arrival process feel a bit disorganized. With a little more attentiveness and quicker response at the front desk, the guest experience would be much better.

No coffee maker in room. Extended stay but no glasses or plates unless requested. No trash can other thsn bathroom. Staff was outside smoking but they were friendly and accomodating when engaged... room was clean and beds were comfortable.....

The room was mostly clean, though there was a broken pretzel and some crumbs next to one of the beds. The bathroom door handle was also broken and came off when closing the door, which should definitely be addressed. That said, the staff was extremely friendly. They even called me after checkout to let me know I had left my pillows behind, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was priced fairly for the level of cleanliness, but fixing the door handle would make a noticeable difference.

never had towels when we went to our room, everything was kinda dirty. the “free breakfast” was barely breakfast. prolly won’t stay there again

Stayed 3 nights visiting our dtr at JMU. Upon arrival to our room the bedside chair had human hair all over it, I contacted front desk and they had someone come promptly to vacuum it. Room basic and simple overall. Beds semi comfortable, pillows not so much. People on floor above us very loud and noisy late at night and early in morning, asked to have room moved they were unable to accommodate us due to being a full capacity. This was very frustrating. I think because hotel is an extended stay they may keep the short term people on bottom floor possibly? Also people across the hall full on cooking with their door open making it kind of stinky. If your looking for somewhere quiet and not apartment like then I would recommended somewhere different. Good for one night only i'd say. Staff friendly overall even though they could not accommodate moving us.
